Lets make ArcherPvP good again. Intro So you are probably thinking by now, that I am an addict to ArcherPvP, and all my threads are based on ArcherPvP. And this is true, to some extent. You see the only reason all my threads are on ArcherPvP is because it's damaged, and time and time after again - I wind up here making a thread, suggesting we should fix this constant problem. Although, some may say that my last thread go no-where, ArcherPvP is a favourite of mine, not the only, but one, so I am not going to give up on a gamemode that I enjoy playing so much. This thread should cover all of my suggestions, about this simple, fixable, easy annoyance that is.. the problem with ArcherPvP. The problem Anybody who has played ArcherPvP for a day, will understand that once in-game you can do '/arrow' and immediately, a whole list of different arrows appear that can be used to do different effects on the players. However, the problem is when these arrows are abused and I am not joking, they are abused like mad. They are not abused, every fortnight or every couple days, they are abused every day, by pretty much everyone who has decent armour. The reason they have this armour, is because they have froze a good player whilst their friend opens fire into the good player. Example: Player 1 has kit Archer (worst kit) Player 1 spends $50 on Freezing arrows. Player 2 is Player 1's friend. They both jump down, into combat. Player 1 spams these special arrows into the player with kit titan for example. The kit titan can no longer move, and will be greatly damaged if he can escape. (Due to ender-pearl damage). Player 2 plunges arrows into the kit titan. Eventually, no doubt about it. Player 1 and 2, will kill the Titan. And there is nothing to be done about it. All they do, is they sell that armour, to buy more freeze arrows, to continue this silly process. Who am I to say how people can and can't play? This was a question on my last thread, and I had a feeling it may appear here also. If you think I am being a bad person, or just annoyed that these people win the game, because of this, then you are most likely somebody who has frozen somebody, and not been frozen back. If you haven't been frozen by one of these arrow spammers, then you won't fully understand why I am mad about this situation. There is literally nothing that can be done, nothing. Unless you are extremely good, there is nothing to be done. Some people just say 'Ender-pearl away!' yet sometimes, this is the death of you, not the arrows. Due to the fact enderpearls do a lot of damage even with FF3 boots, this makes it hard to be escape. Also, 80% of the time, you cannot even escape using enderpearls, because, the arrow has been spammed into you, and they do it so quick, that the enderpearl takes literally no effect. (It's happened to me, 3 or 4 times). Back to the point; I am a player of this gamemode, and I have watched it be successful, and have a happy community, but when this happens, people get outraged. So I would love to see a change, and restore a 100% entirely happy, and legit community. What is my suggestion - to fix this problem? I suggest, we add a 4 -5 second cooldown on these specialty arrows, otherwise they are abused, and make the game un-fun. This way, we can still use the extremely fun specialty arrows, but not have them ruin the game by having them abused. Note; I have seen some of the servers' best players not go into combat, because of somebody who is willing to spam these arrows. I have seen people literally give up, and leave, just because of this. Thank You so much for reading. Feel free to leave your opinion on this. ~ Elliot
Thanks Rodeen! Thanks! Thank you Thanks Tads! Thanks very much, for your support and acknowledgment. I was upset, I saw good friends turn into upset and angry people. The best Archers not jump down because of this problem... So, I was kind of upset yes. :D
Support. I've seen people suggest that we remove it, but I don't like that idea. I think /arrows make the gamemode more unique, and a simple cool-down could make the game a whole lot better.
