Recently I've noticed that a lot of people have been accepted as mod, only to have them leave after a month or so. I think that NoobCrew and Cyp need to put a lot more thought into these applications, and make sure that after one resigns it would be reasonably more difficult to let them have the position again. Mods need to ask for breaks, not just make resignation threads and then an application the week after that which just wastes a lot of time, causing Noob and Cyp to search for more mods which are then not needed bc these old mods are coming back and getting re-accepted right away. Most of the new mods I rarely see on anyway. I'd just advise Noob and Cyp to choose these applicants more carefully.

CypriotMerkz, NoobCrew, Pile_Of_Butts, Nanurz, and AmazingFireGirl, all are very serious about who they pick as a moderator. They don't just promote somebody because they're popular, or because they've reported a lot of hackers. They do so much to make sure the user is right for the job.

None of us can exactly predict the future, sometimes things occur in life that require more time, hence leading some of us to resign. Moderators do take breaks. They don't just quit because they're going on vacation for a few days. When a moderator resigns it is usually something much more serious than that. They need to focus on something more important than a video game.

It's not necessarily them being biased by picking former moderators to be re-promoted. They already know what that user is capable of so they know that they can be trusted to moderate again.

 

Noobcrew & Cyp know what they're doing. They judge the applicant wisely. No support.

 

Mods can take breaks and still be a moderator, resigning isn't taking a small break. It's more of taking a long break . Plus nobody can tell the future so things may pop up that may cause problems irl and cause mods to resign. Also you may not see the new mods because of the time zones

 

I know they can take breaks that's exactly what I said. Its unreasonable how some mods "resign" then put up an application 2 weeks later.

 

Some mods resign because they do not know how long they will be gone for. It's better to resign than to be inactive for a month then get hate

 

They have life problems whom can be solved.

Ceru, also, I'm not hinting at any mod. I understand why some mods resigned, but some demotions were unfair, some like Sniiper's.

I don't see why that's an issue with them leaving.
Even so, I've seen great moderators leave quickly, whether it be through resigning or demotion.
This is no reason to pick on them about it.
They have their reasons if it's a resignation; no need to be picky about that.
They don't have absolute control over their schedule.

So what you're saying is:
Pile, Max, and Panda shouldn't be moderator right now?
It's their third term, christ's sake.
There is no issue with letting them apply again.
Everyone was given an equal chance from the second the joined the server.
It all depends on how wisely they used those chances.

And I'm 99% sure the way the pick moderators is good.
The fact that there are triple digit pages of applications shows that they are doing something right.
There are 6 pages of accepted ones.
Man, it's so hard.

Yes, there is a section where we can take a break;
and you know?
Sometimes it works, and other times it doesn't.
Some people think they might be out longer than should be allowed, so they resign so they don't get hateful comments, or create any issues.

And who says they're being accepted right away?
I've seen only few people be promoted twice, and even three times.
Pile, Max, and Panda are the only three timers.

And it's not even like they're looking for moderators as soon as one resigns, it just increases the chances of having more people in the next promotion group.

The new moderators are told to take it easy, and don't go head-first into the server.
The players here can be quite toxic.
I've seen multiple staff reports on NEW STAFF MEMBERS because the community picked on them, trying to cause them issues.
If the people didn't cause issues to start, they would be more active..

Don't complain about what you don't have; be happy with what you have.
Go ahead and dislike this, they've earned their ranks and don't deserve to put up with this bs.
