That's a lot of promotions.

 

I looked at the accepted moderator applications there are none of this month ? There are 6 in feb 3 in jan

 

There were actually:
18 promoted throughout February and January, 18 total, most in February

 

March 12, Feb 27, Feb 2,3


Look at cyp's recent activity.

 

I was looking at accepted moderator applications and never seen any for march is why I was asking.

 

Woah, haven't heard this one before. lol.

I can't really put it better than Nanurz. Up until I and many others had persuaded Cypriot to get a higher staff team to help him deal with promotions, he did them himself. And I'm not saying that's bad or anything, but he didn't really have the time on his hands to delicately research players, and he frankly really didn't know most of the people personally.

That's the reason we have pile, fryz, and Nanurz. They help him deal with this process, so mistakes can be minimal. It takes time first of all to train your current moderation team, as most mistakes happen between 1-2 months of promotion, so why rush anything? It should be quality over quantity, and that's how it's working out so far, and it's been great.

Point is, the top mods including cyp know when it's best to promote. There's a time and place for everything :p. You're not the first in my time, and defiantly not the last to complain about lack of moderators. You just gotta realize things take time yo.

 

I do realize things take time, I would just love to see more staff online throughout the day. I feel there should never be a time when there are 0 staff online or just 1-2 staff online out of thousands of players who are on.

 

There is rarely no staff on, and when there is the server tends to be quiet. Mods have lives, ya know, they can't be on all day every day.

 

I didn't say they didn't have lives nor did I say they need to be on all day every day. I said we need a number of staff throughout all time zones that can be active. Therefor there will always be staff online.

 

Well once again I didn't say staff have to have no lives.. I think there should be much more staff of different time zones as well.

I don't believe this thread is really pointless I just feel it is needed to be brought to attention if no one has been realizing this or not.

Whenever mods are promoted, there's at least 4-5 of them either demoted or resigning after a month so. :/

 

That's probably the goal for cyp rn I am guessing but that will take a lot of time. It is not a good idea to promote like 20 mods at once because it will be hard to train them all and keep track of them. I am sure that Nanurz and cyp have it so it is easier for the new mods to get their training properly and quickly. With 20 mods promoted at once each new mod will not get that time as there are limited mentors.

They usually get closed.

 

If I had a dollar for every time a thread like this was made, I would be as rich as Trump getting a small loan of a million dollars.
