ok so my friend got a book from someone and he held it and then he would keep on dieing he could not type anything in chat or switch the item he is holding so if someone could clear is inventory that would help a lot so help him out please.
Here are some ideas: 1. Get a macro mod and bind /clear to a button. The second he logs in have him bash that button. 2. Try downloading MineChat for iPhone/iPad. Then just do /clear on there. Since MineChat is chat only, the book shouldn't affect you. If none of these help, I could contact a staff member for you Good luck!
heres the thing his dad does not let him download mods but i might be able to change his mind. his mom might get minechat idk tho.

What blue said is the only things that will help :/ I would recommend if you have a tablet or phone to download the app Or at least trust someone that has the app to do it
MineChat is free and can be used on a mobile device, I highly suggest you do this then clear your inventory. This will remove the book and you should be fine to log in on your PC again. An easy way to avoid this is to keep your hotbar filled, that way the item goes into your 'survival inventory' which wont kill you.
