    Hei guys, Yin here

I'm posting this on my iPhone, so pardon any mistakes regarding grammar. I'm mainly posting it here, since my computer doesn't seem to connect to the internet. Whenever I try to use Chrome, It will give me an error saying "cannot connect to proxy server", even though I don't typically use one. I know how to fix it, by ticking the box in LAN settings, yet when I save the settings and close it down, it'll turn on again, making the same problem. I've tried scanning my computer, restarting my computer, and removed a few programs I downloaded in the past month (still doing so). Does anybody know how to fix this?

A bit off-topic, but it tends to lag my Minecraft as well.

I don't understand this at all, I am decent with computers, but I am not that good with situations like this. This is what I found, hopefully you understand it. "Go to Wrench menu > Options > Under the Hood > Change proxy settings > LAN Settings and deselect "Use a proxy server for your LAN."

And, I just realize... Okay. If you are comfortable doing this, restart your computer to factory settings. If you do feel like this will fix your problem, and you don't know how. I can show you.

I think I fixed the problem with a system restoration from a month ago, but It didn't go back to that period, so this may happen again soon, but for now, I can enjoy :)

But it seems as if programs, such as Skype, seem to not detect my microphone because of this.

Hm, try going to Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound > Click the "Recording" tab. Then, set it up as the default device by right clicking it and doing so (Or deactivate other recording devices). If the problem continues it is Skype itself, which it may need to be redownloaded.

Opening up the tab, it shows that there are no audio devices are installed, although I've plugged all headsets, microphones, and webcams up.

Also, if it tends to help, I have imagery of my Device Manager, showing all my audio hardware

Have you tried unplugging the device? If that doesn't work, you may need to restart your PC.

I've already unplugged my headset, which didn't seem to work, so I'll just restart instead.

I had a similar issue on my mom's computer where the computer doesnt register the microphone at all. BUT in searching online a few days ago I found a help topic on some windows forums for helping fix something like this. Based on the image you provided, I think the problem might be that in between the time the restore file was made and now you did updates or installed a game or program that did them for you. To fix this all you need to do is either re-update the drivers or reinstall the preexisting versions. Below I have described steps to reinstall previous versions.
    1. Go to the control panel - http://prntscr.com/3hjhkd 1.png
    2. Go to the Device Manager - http://prntscr.com/3hjhqb 2.png
    3. Open the 'Sound, video and game controllers' section, right click on the driver your working on, and click on 'Update Driver Software...' - http://prntscr.com/3hjihi 3.png
    4. Select 'Browse my computer for driver software' - http://prntscr.com/3hjiod 4.png
    5. Select 'Let me pick...' - http://prntscr.com/3hjjuc 5.png
    6. Click Next - http://prntscr.com/3hjizu 6.png
    7. A pop-up comes up saying that what your installing is not recommended because Windows cannot verify that it is compatible with the hardware on your computer. We can of course ignore this and click yes because what we're installing is technically already there :P - http://prntscr.com/3hjj3q 7.png
    8. Allow the computer to install the update and your done! :D (no screenshot because I don't need mine restored)
For updating to newer versions follow Steps 1-4 but select 'Search automatically...' instead of doing Step 5 - http://prntscr.com/3hjjov srgaesd.png

    Hope this helps! <3
