One way or another, we've all heard of this issue. Most of us already know that people can hack player heads into Mineverse quite easily, but not all of us do it. I believe that there needs to be a set rule on owning heads. Many mods have different points of view on it. For example, StrKillr says that it is not illegal as long as you do not sell them, hack them in, auc them, or get them after they were made illegal. However, he does say that owning heads from before it was made illegal is okay. On the other hand, CheetahSwimmer (MissMisconcieved) claims that it is 100% illegal and owning them results in a ban for "glitch abuse", even though most of us got them from other people (back when I had some, I got them from killing a player that had them in his/her inventory) To think that I could get banned for taking a players items seems very unfair to me personally. I believe that all of the mods should know the rule completely before they ban players that own them. I personally think that it should not be bannable unless someone is caught hacking them in. And I do not see why owning them is a big issue personally, as long as you did not hack them in it should not be considered "glitch abuse" in my opinion. what do you guys think? for those of you that don't understand what I'm asking, I am asking whether you think owning heads should be legal or not in Mineverse Survival, and I am also asking the staff to make an official rule about it, because many of them have mixed opinions.
It would be extremely hard to enforce people to stop hacking heads in,I get your point with player owning heads and all,but it's just too difficult.Neutral
I think they should add a plugin just like on OpPrison where you can kill a player, and have a %10 chance to get his/her head, then it would make it fair for everyone, but on the other hand, people can just glitch people's heads in, we need to get rid of the "head glitching" bug. So, my opinion is stated. ~Hurlz
Adding to my original comment,@Valixta said that Survival could have a /bounty system of getting heads.Considering that Survival is a little PVP based,I think what she said would be a good idea for this...
It is not illegal to own them if you acquired them before they were made illegal. It is illegal to hack them in, sell them, auctioning them, trade them, etc. We can not ban people just for owning them for the reason you stated, you could have buy them before they were illegal or kill a player who had them on, etc. Why are they illegal? The main reason is because you can get really rich by selling for example a high profile player head, they were selling then for millions. This would be really unfair as the only way to have them is glitching them in.
On Skyblock I was threatened by a mod to be banned because I owned heads before they were made illegal. He then made me give them to him. If this is the rule, then why did that happen? Many players still own many heads on skyblock, and other items from this glitch, even such as barrier blocks. Why wouldn't that be bannable? No matter the reason it should be bannable because it was the result of glitch abuse, which has ALWAYS been bannable.
