So mineverse, I've been here for over 2 years and I've seen some good mods, some bad mods, some who don't know what their doing, mods who abuse, I've seen about every type of mod their is, but now oh man. The mods recently have been resigning few days maybe even a week after getting mod, yes cyp promotes people who he thinks are worthy of mod, but how many actually are? how many copy paste mod apps, how many lie in their apps, how many actually take it seriously? yes I'm ranting and yes I sort of have a reason for saying all of this, since when is calling a mod a "random" worthy of a mute? I'm kind of tired of this. Mods are thinking they have way more power than they do because they have the commands, heck I've seen mods ban people without evidence and ban them for almost zero reason. Maybe I'm just crazy but this seems kind of strange. Please take this into consideration, don't close this thread for some bs reason just because you can. @Pile_of_Butts
We don't blindly accept applications. :s There is a process. If you see abuse however, please report it.
If you want to create a staff report, please feel free to. There is absolutely no reason to be posting this out in discussion. The easiest way to not get into trouble with a mod, don't disrespect us. Plain and simple. There is absolute zero tolerance for staff disrespect and there shouldn't be. We are here to do our jobs and that is to uphold the rules. Calling us names and being rude to us is not cool and will not be tolerated.
How is calling someone a "random" offensive, I don't understand how. If I said something along the lines of "The mods of mineverse [edit]" "Learn to do your job" "Go read the rules again" etc that would be offensive. Calling someone random? how in the world is this offensive
Im not the mod that muted you, so I don't know. Why not take it directly to them instead of trying to embarrass them by posting this in discussion?
I commonly dislike these threads as all they are destined to do is create hate. PM the staff member or appeal.
Oh dyna. This isn't about that person, it's equipping mineverse with the best mods. This is because I want to make it public because I've seen more than one mod who this, and more than one mod go beyond their boundries. This is something that needs to be viewed by the public not something that needs to hidden from everyone in an attempt to make you "mods" look like they know what you're doing. I understand how you dislike these threads, but this is not to designed to create hate, or anything against the mods, it is to create an awareness of this to everyone and help show what's going on within mineverse.
Yes it is, but this needed to be brought up to all mods, players, and visitors to forums so they know how the mods act. This something that is happening more and more, the players need to know what and who they are supporting for mod. This is showing the community what happens if people might not know or understand why they are supporting someone
Well, if you feel that a mod is abusing his or her perms, then screenshot it and report it. Or you could just not break the rules in the first place to get yourself muted. All of these mods that Im seeing getting called out into discussion are brand new mods. Give them some time to learn their roles as a mod. No one is perfect and we all make mistakes, every single one of us. We aren't perfect, no one is. Im just asking you guys to give us a break. We are just trying to do our jobs and receive constant hate for it, no matter what we do, we cannot win. But we are still here, still doing our job. We love this community and want what is best for it, which is why we applied for mod in the first place.
I've seen this done previously before I was moderator, while I was moderator, but not after. Yea, the mute should stay between the player and the moderator. The issue is, someone's going to find out and announce it, especially if the player(s) are/is well-known.
Honestly, to the people who complain at the mods who make a mistake here and now, I'd love to see them take the role of mod and do a better job, cause I doubt that could ever happen, give the staff team some slack, they're here to help, and least we can do as a community is respect them and appreciate what they do, if they do abuse report it, don't try and create a massive riot and make all the mods look like bad people, because they arn't, I wish most people could see this.
Lol I'm lobby banned for no reason with no evidence. :P Before a mod deletes this and tells me to make a ban appeal, I have, it's been nearly 2 months and still nothing, no one will to admit who banned me or supply anyone with evidence. I belive ths to be abuse but as no one will fuss up to actually banning me so I can't make a staff report.
