Hello!

I was wondering if anyone could suggest any resource packs for the new update, I was thinking something along the lines of simple, modern, or PvP.

Please leave:
The name of the resource pack
A link to some pictures
Lastly, the download link

Can't you update resource packs?

 

Not unless the people who make the resource packs have updated them with the new 1.9 blocks and features as a whole, otherwise you could have some amazing looking texture pack, with default texture 1.9 items.

 

I can't update them myself.

I guess search here, they're not the best, but it's your own opinion.

Personally, I'd say wait for your current texture pack you're using to be updated to 1.9. Therefore you actually will know whether or not you like it. I find it extremely hard to find textures that provide me with what I want, so I just use a more up do date, better looking version of the default texture pack.

Faithful, comes with low fire and also a 3D texture based package.
