Mineverse 1.9?

As most of you know, the official 1.9 is coming out this up coming Monday on February the 29th

There are a lot of people that dislike 1.9 and like 1.9.

The update has many new features, including shields, chorus fruit, elytra, and tipped arrows.

Many people dislike it because of the hit delay, which is understandable. A lot of the enchantments have also been nerfed like protection and sharpness, so have the potions like strength.

Before people start coming up with the repeated solution, "We can just change the PvP back to 1.8 and below and people can keep on spam clicking to PvP", that wont work because the armor in 1.9 has been nerfed too, people will die really quick if PvP goes back to spam clicking.

Mineverse could just not update at all which is also understandable or just not update until something is figured out. But if they chose to not update, Mineverse will eventually be outdated as more and more servers update to 1.9 over time. Either people have to adapt to the changes, or the server will never update and will eventually become outdated.

What are your thoughts? Do you think Mineverse should update to 1.9?

But, they probably will in the future, and it's not like they can't disable some of the features.

yeah true, but the main feature a lot of people hate is having to wait for your weapon to recharge. If they disable that and make everything back to the way it was, PvP would be broken (Armor in 1.9 isn't made to resist 1.8.x PvP and below)

 

I believe the server should update to 1.9 but it won't be happening for a long time, I'll tell you that much.

 

I'm gonna quit minecraft all in all if they update my favorite servers to 1.9. All I do is pvp, and they want to take that away from me.

 

1.9 hmm not good to much lag so I'd say no upgrade and its also going to ruin it for other pvp people out there on the server.

 

Maybe they could do one game mode at a time so that any errors could be fixed before moving on to the next game mode.

A good thing about 1.9 is that the riot shields in GTA will be represented by actual shields.

 

That's true ^^ The server will probably update to 1.9 in the future though :/

 

By popular opinion, I doubt the 1.9 update will be implemented on MV. At least for a long time. :p

 

The server won't update for a very long time, as all of the server plugins will be immediately incompatible :/
Also, Mineverse will have to make, or find a plugin that will allow original PvP probably.

think about how messed up the pvp gamemodes would be. As you have probably noticed, TONS of people have been quitting mineverse recently. Think about how many people would quit if they applied an update that MOST people HATE. Think about that for a second!
SO MANY PEOPLE WOULD QUIT!! So NO! Mineverse should NOT update to 1.9

Mineverse has been going down hill for a long time now. And if 1.9 is applied, that will be the last blow. The last shot. Mineverse will be DEAD, and there will be NO GOING BACK.

 

If you update to 1.9 most likely all of the people who enjoy pvp won't play anymore, considering most of your game modes involve pvp.
