I understand what you mean but would you rather have a Moderator that is dedicated and helps the team out a lot for 3 months, or one less Moderator online for those 3 months?

Whether it was for a week or 3 months, these resigned staff members have helped out a LOT and deserved the position for the 'short amount of time'.

The way that he presented this suggestion, he thinks it would increase the amount of long-term mods

Well, you can't really say this because in all honesty you don't know how it
That's usually a lie. Most moderators use this reason because they do not want to really say what their real motives are.
Why? What does anyone gain from that? If Cypriot doesn't feel that a particular ex-mod is not ready then it's up to him. He encouraged me to re-apply 1 month after. Time after resigning doesn't matter.
No. Not at all. It could even produce the opposite effect.

So your idea of fixing a problem is blackmailing people to stay in Mineverse while their real lives get torn apart.

    Very interesting.

The main problem is the hate you guys give us. Sometimes, a few hours after someone gets promoted, they start recieving hate for no apparent reason. Even when they do nothing.
If this is your way of rebelling against the community and the laws, you need to rethink your strategies. You give us hate then call us weak and complain after people resign, yet you still continue. We're human, not robots. We have emotions and feelings. Give us a break, maybe even compliment us for what we do well for once.

3 months of moderating is better than 1 day.

No support to not being able to apply for 3 months after resigning even though I know this is not a suggestion.

    "Discussion" "No support."

I'm sure their job is very stressful I've seen in-game and here on the forums how disrespectful players threat them. When @Herf first god mod all I hear was "Do your job" "Why are you mod, you're a sh** mod"

They get a lot more hateful things everyday and they can be highly disrespectful at times.

Unfortunately, this is the way it's been since mid 2014. The better the moderator you are the more players are going to hate you.

Alot of moderators work their butts off, but with you guys constantly harassing them and targeting them it's impossible for them to do their job to the best of their ability. You guys always whine and complain that Mineverse needs more moderators, yet whenever Cypriot decides to promote more you bash them until they get to the point where they don't want to moderate anymore.

If you're tired of so many moderators resigning, then maybe you guys should consider acting better towards the people who dedicate their time to help you guys have more fun.

All I'm saying is don't apply if you can't keep it up for long enough, or can't handle it.

I would never put myself under a lot of stress because of Minecraft, if I were getting paid, then that's a different story. If you think you're too stressed out then perhaps you could just slow things down? There's nothing wrong with that.

Some people apply because they belive that they can really help the community and if that means dedicating their time to life and videogames it would have to be that way. Its a good suggestion but some people really do like this server for what it is and would dedicate most their time to it.

Wait, your basically saying that once a mod is promoted then wants to resign, he can't apply for 3 months? Your basically giving him punishment for probably resigning for family issues, school, education, raising up grades ( what Herf_ said ). That isn't a brilliant idea. We don't need 30 mods for this server. If they want to resign, let them resign. Lets say I resigned, and then I solved my issue, and I am ready to reapply again. What if 3 months passes, and then I have another issue? In those 3 months I could tons of hackers banned. I'd rather not wait.

    No Support.

Some good points have been argued against me that have in fact changed my own opinion, for example viewing it from a moderator's angle, things can get stressful.

I'm not trying to say people with family issues should be punished, what I was originally pointing at was people who know they have exams, and who know they won't be able to moderate for over a month, applying for moderator regardless. Nevertheless thank you all for responding, it's changed my views slightly on the topic but that's why I made the thread in the first place :)

    Please close this? @TADS4 @Janice999
