So were going to filter the word gay because some id*ots are offended by it, it would honestly be more degrading for gay people to see that word being censored.
It depends how you use the word, if you use the word "gay" as an insult then it would be offensive to the gay community. but if it is like used like "oh hey your gay, cool" I don't see that it would be offensive to the gay community.
Like everyone said above me it can be used in the offensive term (as in sexuality) or the other term (as in happy). But using it in an abusive/offensive way is just so low. O_o It shouldn't be censored but if used as an abusive term it should result in some consequences as you would feel either insulted or have your feelings hurt if it was to due to the improper use :/
If it were to be uncensored, it would become a hateful comment used to insult people. As it was used before it was censored.
Support. Although, I understand why it's censored. People use "gay" as an insult more often than anything else. Saying "that's gay" is often the same as saying "that's stupid" etc. Then, to those who are gay, they feel offended as if they are being called stupid.
Wait, it's censored? Support, this should be removed, and it should be removed immediately. The people who use the word 'Gay' as an insult need to be talked to, as they probably have a problem. This word is perfectly fine, and the fact that the owners have censored it, just shows how disrespectful so many people must be.
Doesn't that mean they should censor "fgt" too? Dunt ban me from forums plz, just sayin xD. Just like Elliot said. They should be talked to. They could be warned, muted, then temporarily banned.
The reason other sexualities are not censored is because people rarely use them to insult people, I've never heard someone say "that's so bisexual" lol. Why people use "gay" as an insult I really don't know but it happens so that's why it's censored to prevent people from using it as an insult.
for the most part, immature kids probably don't even know what it means Example: Kid: That's so gay! Me: Do you have anything against gays? Kid: ... Banning the word is not the solution. Its education.
