Simple solution make it so users in the moderator groups can't be rated. Then when they resign/ or get demoted then you can give them the power to recieve ratings. Simple solution.
It is NOT just about "needing help". It is about maybe saying hello once in a while. Or commenting on a status.
No, like lets just say as an example, @Dyna_Mighty put something about her dog. I wanted to comment, but couldn't because the profile is locked. It would be kinda weird if you start a convo for that.. xD
Tbh sometimes I start convos weirdly. Also with a convo it is just as easy to find as a persons profile page.
Are you saying the profiles should or shouldn't be locked? I said in a previous comment, about saying hello and commenting, yet I guess that is why staff members such as Pile set their profiles to private
Solution - Make it so people have a choice to disable/enable likes on their profile. If this was added, mods can leave their profiles open while keeping their beloved pixelated thumbs ups!
But does everyone lose half of their postings on their profiles if rate abuse happens like what sometimes happens with staff? If someone goes through and likes every single one of our posts, they all have to be deleted and our profile is left with nothing but deleted things. Everyone on here gets angry when their posts get deleted, especially when it is not their fault it got deleted. And once again I will say, when we are having to deal with removing the rate abuse, we could be doing our job elsewhere like in reports or even in game, but instead of we having to remove rate abuse that may not have happened if the mod's profile were locked. Just food for thought, I know I won't change anyone's mind about it, this is just our side of the story. Ill say again, my profile is unlocked and will continue to do so unless given a reason not to.
How does this have anything to do with the point of this thread.. Madi is suggesting that mods shouldn't be able to lock their profiles because new members might need help. Not because people who want to say "hello" can't. Why would the ability for mods to be able to lock their profiles be removed because someone can't say hi?
