They must not have any forum experience, and all the "New Members" that makes an Mod App, just make it very small. Could you explain why?
Member is quite quick to get but as I was saying in the convo a lot of people do come on the forums to apply for being mod. For a couple of mod apps written by new members I redirected them to my thread and I have seen significant progress with both applications. My thread (I hope) will help new members to the forums but isn't recognised at the minute. This is both a guide and a suggestion because this thread it suggesting that people can make mod apps once they have become a member. It is also a guide because it tells people how to apply for a mod...
I support because some people just join the Forums to Apply for Moderator and they dont know the Whole other community on the MV Forums it is so different (In a good way) from the Actual Minecraft Server, I think they should at least have the "Member" rank before they can apply
No support. New players always learn from their first moderator applications and that's why it's so important.
You say that but I made my first Moderator application when I was a 'New Member' and I literally had no forum experience back in May, 2014. My application had plenty of detail and hey, I got accepted a few months later. Just because someone is a 'New Member', doesn't mean they are incapable of writing fantastic applications or being accepted. When they have their app up, the next step is to strive to be active to show you aren't just applying for the heck of it. Sure, some 'New Members' write short applications but what's the big deal? No support, sorry.
Ok, thank you for your response. Note: I didn't mean all the 'New Members' makes small applications, but the most of it did.
I'm just going off of what you said, which was all new members. May want to clarify if you mean otherwise.
I agree with everything said. As @Krissy said, it'd have to be a written rule. A one that most 'new members' would probably ignore/not see, considering a lot of people just join to apply. I doubt it would happen, but I think it would clean up the application section.
