The following is my moderator application: Background Information Hi. My name is Ethan. On the internet, I am know as LivingWaffle, or for short- Waffle. I have wanted to be a moderator for this server for 2 and 1/2 years now, and have finally chosen to create this application. Here is the application, and I hope you enjoy! Apologies. If I have been mean, or rude to you in the past, please forgive me. If I am pushed to my limit, I tend to just be crazy. I am truly sorry if I have ever been rude to you in the past. Whether it was me saying "noob", or "you are just annoying", I am sorry if this upset you. I don't mean to upset anyone over the internet, and I hope you forgive me. Now... on to the application. How old are you? Currently, my age is 16 years old, as I turned 16 this past February. Your in-game name? My in game name is: LivingWaffle, and my past in game name to this account went by the name of Manly_Uni_Man (a dare to get that username, I felt it was highly immature) What timezone are you in? My timezone is the Eastern United States Timezone (EST) What country do you live in? I live in the United States of America (USA) What languages do you speak? I speak fluent English, and a tad bit of Spanish (just a small amount of Spanish), mush as how much of America speaks this balance of language. This makes for easy communicating through different servers, and makes it much easier to help people with their troubles. Do you have the necessary means of capturing evidence? (i.e. recording software, screenshots, etc) I have the ability take screenshots for chat trolling, and people's swearing, and I am able to use the program "Bandicam" to capture videos of people hacking, and scamming people on many servers, because I want this whole server to be nice and friendly. Why do you think you should become a mod? I think that I should become a mod, because I would be extremely helpful doing things such as monitoring chat on particular servers, watching over people to see if they are being fair in game, making sure that the server will have no hackers (because hackers ruin the server), and just helping everyone out. I want this server to have more moderators that are active a lot, and much more helpful, as I would be. I am also extremely active, (which means I am on either daily, or on every 2 days). This server's current moderators never join smaller servers, because they believe that the smaller servers have less action, therefore much less hacking, scamming. I also believe that this server needs more moderators (especially on the servers that mods near to never come on like factions) to patrol the area and make sure that the server is just a generally good place to hang out with friends, or online friends. How long can you be active on the server everyday? I can be active nearly daily, for about 1-5 hours per day on week days, and about 7-9 hours daily on weekends (depending on the day). I am generally extremely active on Mineverse. How long have you been playing Mineverse? I have been playing Mineverse for about 3 years now on this account, and past accounts. These accounts include my current account before I changed the username (Manly_Uni_Man), the account haileyethan, and another account with the username _CoffeeKing_. Have you ever been banned in the past? (Forums & In-game) Sadly, I have been banned once during a fight on the factions server. I was banned for 30 days for supposedly using "Anti-Knockback" in a fight. But I have put this in my past and I have gained the feeling to wanting to find actual hackers in-game so i can prove that I am not a hacker, but someone who cares about keeping a server well, and clean. I believe that hacking is an improper way to show that the hacker is unable to perform basic Minecraft mechanics, so they rely on support to help them. Do you have any past experience as a moderator? I actually do have past experience as a moderator on different servers. My friend had a minecraft server that was kicking off and I was hired as a moderator for the server, and I kept it running smoothly, and I had kept the hackers away. I have also been a moderator on a larger server that was closed down recently (because the owner couldn't afford it anymore), but I had protected the server from all hackers, and people who were highly unfriendly. (swearing, threatening, etc) I had also been a moderator on one remotely large server averaging about 200-300 players every few hours. I had muted spammers and temporarily banned hackers for their wrong doings on that server, so I could make sure that server was a friendly and peaceful place to hang out and enjoy being there. I have a plan to do the exact same on Mineverse, so it will be an extremely fun, and enjoyable place to hang around, and just plain game on! Hobbies. I do not play any sports currently, but my main hobby is playing Minecraft. I also am able to do many crafty things such as draw, and build (in real life). I am not very active in the real world, but I am extremely active online. A few facts about me. Maturity. Compared to many 16 year olds, I am highly mature. I do not make all those indecent comments about the human body, and I do not always say jokes such as "Deez Nuts, HA GOTTI!" Things like that do not seem appealing for me to say. I do not find some jokes hysterical like many people do, but I am still able to say some pretty funny jokes myself. Kind, and Caring. In my opinion, I am a kind person. I enjoy helping people when they are in need, and I enjoy bring people happiness. I believe that becoming a moderator, I can help people with their issues when no one else will. If someone is in need of assistance, I will come to their aid, and help them with whatever they need (unless its unbanning them without an accepted ban appeal). Love Helping! If someone were to ask me what my favorite thing to do is when someone is in a state of need, I would always answer "help them". This is because I know how it feels to be lost, or sad, and I do NOT want others to have to feel that way. I NEVER want someone to go without help if they need it, because if you need help, you want it as quick as possible! Fast-Typer. Not many people are able to, but I am surprisingly quick at typing. I am able to reply to any messages or complaints/reports in a speedy amount of time. I like to make sure that people get their replies as quick as they can, so they never have to wait that long. This will help in making sure that I am more efficient at answering complaints or "calls for help". Eyes Are Always Peeled. Whenever I am on a server, i always run in to at least 1 hacker. I can tell between a hacker and skill in those situations. Whether they are flying, using kill-aura, bow aimbot, followbot, or any other main hacks, I am able to tell. Over time, Mineverse has had an increasing rate in hackers, and I want this amount to decrease, to make this server as it was before. Honesty. When I was much younger, I had lied a little bit, but then as I matured, I realized how the lying got me nowhere. It would help me a bit, then it would drop me straight back down to the bottom. I saw how lying didn't help me at all, so I just completely stopped. I am a very honest person now, and I plan to stay that way. Unbiased. If I were to become a moderator, I would be unbiased- meaning that I would not help people based upon my relation to them, and I will make sure that everyone gets treated equally, and with respect. I will make sure that anyone doing wrong will get the same punishment as one-another. It doesn't matter how much I would want to help my friend, I will give the the same treatment as any other person. Knowledgeable about Moderator Commands. I am able to remember the basic moderation commnds such as: /kick (Playername) (Reason) ~ Waffle /ban (Playername) (Reason) ~Waffle Appeal @ mineverse.com /tempban (Playername) (time banned) (Reason) ~Waffle Appeal @ mineverse.com /unban (Playername) /mute (Playername) (Timed muted) (Reason) ~Waffle /unmute (Playername) /socialspy Respect. I make sure to treat anyone, and everyone equally, and with respect. No matter how bad they must seem, or how rude they are to me, I will treat them with respect. This will help keep the players in a good mood- how everyone should always be. Friendly. On Mineverse, I tend to make many online friends. This shows that I am able to be friendly and communicate with other people very well. You wouldn't want a moderator who is cranky and rude all the time, would you? I want the players to be in a good mood all the time, and I think that being friendly, I will be able to keep them in a good mood! Look at accepted Moderator Applications and look at "Why should I become a mod", you would see a big difference between yours and theirs.
