As the title states, I have been locked out of my chests on survival after a recent name change. When I tried to change my name back, there was an error, saying that it had already been taken by someone else.

 

I'm pretty sure once someone takes your name they also have the same set homes as you, correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't know what would happen in this situation but someone who I believe ha's the ability to break signs is @Pile_of_Butts

 

I thought the only way to fix it is to have a high ranking staff member fix it personally or change your name back.

That happened to me before, but I just changed my name back, sorry I can't help you :(

 

Sadly this issue is well known... D: And I have no idea how to fix it, except you change your name back.

Yeah, like many are saying, this is a well known problem. The only known way for you to get your chest back is to change your name back. Unless a higher staff member is kind enough to personally help you out (Rare).
