I actually completely agree. Maybe I'm just a harsh person, but I would personally like to ban people on all lobbies and not just one gamemode. Banning on one gamemode just means they can go to another gamemode and do the exact same thing, which makes more work for the mods banning the player etc. In general, ban appeals aren't accepted unless they were false. Also, I think not punishing people for Mini-Game offenses is stupid. Sure it means not banning them from all three lobbies, but in return we are just letting them hack freely?
Let's say they ban about 20 people a day for every day, in 30 days 20 more hackers come on the server. This will be a repeating process over and over and over again.
Here's how it works: -They hack, they get banned for a month -if they continue after they are unbanned, they will be perm banned. Appeals for month bans are almost always denied unless the ban is invalid.
Okay consider this in real life. If you commit a very bad crime on multiple occasions, chances are you will be sentenced to prison for life. BUT, you can be let out for good behavior. If you've proved that you can be a good person than they give you a second chance. But about those ppl that get unbanned and break the same rule again, it's stupid
Support. A ban is a ban, no matter what. If it's falsely accused with solid proof, there's a chance you CAN get pardoned. Otherwise, you committed the crime, so you do the time, temp or perm. Good luck, and the rules that include bans will need to be revamped soon.
Support. They should also do *Deleted* ,hackers coming back and hackers making alts just ruins my day sometimes...
Oo,you've reminded me.And then theres the internet provider changing the IP once a month... Ill scratch that, thanks
Well he needs to do it from experience on my server if you ban someone it takes up server space. And if you ban a whole load of people it makes it worst. If your like WTF right now IKR. WTF. Even @cypriotmerkz can approve this.
No support. They just want to make it more scary as a permanent ban so you don't do it again. Plus, if you know it's not going to be permanently, it doesn't matter.
When I was mod, I made a few decisions to perm ban. I stood by my perm bans, and when I resigned, I requested that my perm bans be left perm as they are that for a reason. This makes me wonder whether or not my bans have been undone. If they have, I am disgusted that the staff obviously haven't looked into it much. I agree with you. Harshness is indeed necessary. The 30 day ban system is ridiculously stupid, and I'm surprised it's lasted. When the permissions for /ban was taken away from mods, it broke everything. We were told that if a '/ban' was needed, we had to consult a head mod. This undermined the whole idea of a 'mod'. It was extremely wrong and I tried to have it changed numerous times and was told by Cyp that this is the 'right way'. I hope that the players are listened to here because in the end, there the ones playing the game. There the potential donors. There the reason that this server is what it is to an extent. Please Cyp, here the players out. Mineverse has so much potential that you can use, all you have to do is look at what is in front of you. I mean it with all respect. This is something that needs to be changed, and it's all explained on this thread. With this said, an extreme valid reason needs to be given to perm ban someone. I was recently perm banned from the MV TS for the wrong reasons and was accused of things that weren't true. I had no hope but to goto Cyp, and it sucked. I'd hate to have others put in this situation, and the mods be as ignorant to them as I was shown. Furthermore, I know they are perm bans but if you're going to keep someone banned and they don't feel it's fair, they will just evade. I think after half a year it is fair, under circumstances and after showing they deserve it, that they can possibly be unbanned after there ban being looked into in extreme depth. Anywho, good luck with the suggestion. @CypriotMerks
I suppose it was simply a miscommunication error then. I see what he means better at this point, though.
