AFR DaddyPingu's Moderator Application 2.0 (Global)

A/N: Well, hello there! This is my second moderator application (technically 3rd, if you're planning on counting my AMAZING first application ;))

INTRO:

Hello Mineversians! Welcome to my moderator application. I hope you have enough time on your hands to give me some tips to better my chances at becoming a moderator. Feel very free to give me advice! Just please don't post comments such as: 'No support'. I can't better myself if you don't tell me why you have chosen to not support . I also ask that you don't make your decision over other people's. That's unfair to me and really doesn't help either of us. Please judge my application only based on the content and myself as a player. I joined Mineverse very close to 2 years ago, due to my desperate scrolling through a page called 'Best Minecraft Servers' or something rather. At the time, I was looking for a server that was unique and different. I most definitely got what I was searching for when I found Mineverse. Of course, it is now my favourite server! I have further told numerous friends of this server and they too have enjoyed its minigames and friendly staff members.

My In-game name is currently DaddyPingu and for the benefits of my friends, let's hope it stays that way for a while ;)

I have recently turned 15 years old on March the 28th. Please do not judge my application on my age, but rather my potential and how detailed and impressive the content is

TIME-ZONE:
AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time)

PLACE OF INHABITANCE:

I live just north of Brisbane in Australia

LANGUAGES:

I am fluent in English, semi-fluent in Japanese and I am currently learning Swedish

ACTIVITY (SERVER):

Monday: 2-3 hours
Tuesday: 1-2 hours
Wednesday: 4-5 hours
Thursday: 3-4 hours
Friday: 4-5 hours
Saturday: 7-9 hours
Sunday: 7-9 hours

Please take into consideration these hours may increase or decrease depending on work, extra-curricular activities, school work and holidays

I have been playing Mineverse since April of 2014

ACTIVITY (FORUMS):

I can be on the forums approximately 3 hours everyday weekday and majority of weekends. These hours may change due to school.

RECORDING OF EVIDENCE: I have a free and fairly good quality screen recorder called Screencast Omatic. Unfortunately it only can record up to 15 minutes at a time, but that is all I should really need for recording hackers and people alike. I use the Mac screenshot function for text screenshots. Sadly, I cannot use it unless text is open for a weird reason.

BAN HISTORY:

I have never been banned on Mineverse or any other server for that matter. I do not intend to be banned in the future.

EXPERIENCE:

I have a little past experience of being a moderator/staff member on small servers. I have a thorough understanding of commands such as /ban, /tempban, /mute, /kick

In no way will I use these commands unfairly or in bias towards friends.

REASONS WHY I SHOULD BE CONSIDERED A MODERATOR

HELPFUL:

I try my best to be there for new players when they are in need of assistance. When anyone asks a question, I try my best to answer and if I don't have the particular knowledge they require for help, I usually suggest someone who may be able to help.

RESPECTFUL:

I have been taught throughout my childhood a very important lesson which I'm sure most of you know. Treat how you'd like to be treated. I am very forgiving and believe in the saying forgive and forget. It's important to give people another chance to prove themselves worthy of your trust. If I happen to become irritated by another person, this may cause them to dislike other people around them, and perhaps the server, which I, or anyone else don't want. These situations make me build my respect for everyone further more, as I do not wish to disappoint anyone.

AWARE:

While playing, I'm always aware of my surroundings. I am answering people who ask for me or who message me. Whenever players ask of my assistance or ask questions, I will use my knowledge of game rules to help them. I am aware on the forums in case anyone has answered an important thread or have posted something on my page and need my help.

MATURITY:

I have been told by many people surrounding me that I am very mature for my age, although my friends may say otherwise. I know when it is the right time to joke and when it is not. I do not make inappropriate jokes, racist or sexist comments or comments that may offend others. As a moderator I wish to stop racist slurs often said all around the server.

HONESTY:

I am not one to lie. I excel to be honest as often as possible so I won't end up hurting anyone for the benefits of getting myself out of trouble. If i have done something wrong, I will own up to my mistakes, learn from them and continue with my day. I am fairly well-known on Creative and Infection and my friends (online and real-life) trust me fully to know I will not break their trust in any way that might hurt them. Honesty is important for anyone, but specifically important for a staff member, as it builds trust between players and staff.

NON-BIASED:

I will not bend rules for the sake of my own friendships. If a friend does something wrong, I will make sure they are aware of it and will punish them suitably as I would any other player. If they decide upon my warning that I should not be punishing them as I would, they were never a true friend in the first place.

FAST-LEARNING:

Especially in school, I pick up topics really quickly. This is helpful as it will assist in my learning to make Mineverse a better place and also increases my knowledge of the mini-games so I can play and assist other players with ease.

GOOD LEADERSHIP SKILLS:

In earlier years, I was vice-captain for my Prep-7 school. This title helped improve my skills in leadership and setting a bar for the students of my school to follow to better themselves and the whole image of the school. I strongly believe that this would help at being a staff member as a great moderator needs to be a strong and kind individual so others will look up to you and follow your lead. If moderators are good role models, this will improve the server's well-being.

CONCLUSION:

I would further more like to thanks friends for their encouragement and support through-out my two years on Mineverse. Thank you to those who will give advice and hopefully support ;). A huge thank you for moderators and staff members for the help in keeping Mineverse a lovely server for all ages. AND a massive thanks to CypriotMerkz and NoobCrew for creating and developing a fantastic server for everyone to enjoy. Thank you!
