My idea is a simple one. I think that there should be a section of the forums called 'Stories' in the 'Off Topic' section.

Why would this be a good idea?​

I think this idea would allow members of the forums to express their creativity by making stories. As of right now, stories are fairly rare and it's quite hard to find a story on the forums to read.
If we had a section of the forums named 'Stories' I think it would encourage people to have a go at making a story.
I also think it is a way for the more creative people to express their... creativity.


In this section of the forums, there would be no criticism on somebodies story, just the constructive criticism.
Right now, there is no official place to put a story, and this would be where those who wish to make a story could make theirs.

It would also be a great place for people to leave thoughts on stories, share ideas and express how they feel within a story.

It would be a place for everyone, who either has something good, bad, or entertaining to get off their chest.

Thank You for reading my idea. This idea might not be for all the people on the forums, but yet again, not everyone wants to play a forum game, or talk about programming. It's the wonder of 'Off Topic', there are no limits to what creativity can be expressed.

If you want stories you can go on reddit or 4chan, this is a site for a game, not a book store.

 

This is a site with 10,000+ people. I'm sure at least 1 of them wants to make a story within the Mineverse community.
Also, we have a 'Programming' section, should we remove it if this site is strictly for a game?

I don't believe we need a stories section. If you want to write a story, put it in off-topic and advertise it on you profile.

 

10, 000 people? Not even 100 active people use this site daily. It's a community, and in this community there are help forums, so there is the possibility of programming help and that's exactly what it is used/has been used for.

 

This could be a way of doing it. But what about those who just want to read a story, or make one?
It wouldn't do any harm in allowing those people to have a section?

Wattpad is a fantastic website/app for reading, creating and sharing stories.

 

If you're doubting my idea, you probably haven't wanted to share / make a story.

 

I like writing stories, however this is a forum for Minecraft.
I see no benefits from this.

Elliot personally I believe you're the only one who wants to write a story...remember that theres always the off-topic section...many people have written stories there before. A section dedicated to stories aren't necessary and theres definitely not 10,000 people on the forums. lol

 

I sort of agree. It was just an idea, I was feeling quite optimistic. I have just seen people making stories, and many of them receiving some sort of hate..

No. There isn't 10000 people on the forums, there are 15,228 registered members.
Just about 15,100 of them aren't active xD
