Moderators should get vanish to prevent hackers to turn hacks off whenever they see an hacker. While going into /vanish, they are also automaticly going into /god, so they cannot abuse this command by killing people while being invisible. While being in /god, they may not pvp tag another player, and they can also not be tagged. This has happened way too much for me lately, I tell a mod to tpa, the cheater turns hacks right off whenever he spots a mod. Having this enabled, will prevent this. And moderating will be alot more efficient. pce
Hey Cidonic :p, I agree with you about the /v. It would be way EASIER to catch those sneaky hackers on kit ik. Would /staff still show them online though? It's sometimes important to see a mod online if you were to need them... Neutral
Let's be honest people will always be talking about people hacking in chat, seeing a moderator online won't really change them wanting to hack as most people ready to really don't care if they get banned or not. Just leaves more room to abuse it, imo.
hmmm that would be a bit of a problem on Infection, as it's all about PvP and the last person dead is the winner XD So they could abuse it and claim they were 'trying' to catch a hacker
Neutral. I know that a lot of our Mods take their job seriously but some in the past haven't so Imagine if one of them come back to the team, they'll be able to easily abuse this command.
/v while useful can be abused. I would rather see a /spectate plugin coded. Where the mod would be able to run one command and be in /fly/god/vanish. You could watch over and record in this spectating mode then go out of spectate TP'ing you back at spawn making it impossible to abuse the command and hurt players. Adding a combat tag to the command would solve any staff abusing the command to get out of combat as well. We have this on the other two servers I admin. The staff team love it.
