1.8 OR 1.9 1.9 Should be coming out soon and I know servers usually would switch to the new version. I've tested out the new version on beta and I don't think it is the best version. You cannot craft enchanted golden apples anymore. Nor the potion effects are the same. Instead of regeneration V you get regeneration II... Not the same. Also such as the shield and the new arrows come into play. What will happen to Op Pvp if the enchanted golden apples are kind of point less. There wouldnt be OP infront of the name if would simply be Pvp. Same goes for any other gamemode that includes pvp such as factions, opfactions, kitpvp, and others. The new weapon is now axes instead of swords be cause a STONE axe does more damage than a diamond sword believe it or not. I don't suggest Mineverse update to 1.9 if there is no changes to the version of 1.9. Mineverse is doing more then fine with 1.8.
Thank you for your opinion :D There is a possibility of that happening and I do hope for that to happen although there would need to be a lot of adjustments needed to be made to mineverse to keep certain gamemodes playable and enjoyable still in 1.9
A shield might be a good thing to add, just saying Titan swords which are sharp 30 do quite a lot of damage so god apples are needed.

./kit shieldkit It gives you a Unbreaking x enchant on shields. 6 God apples (Keep in mind there's more absorption) ./kit axe Pretty standard a sharp v axe.
1.7 I'd actually like to see mineverse in 1.9, perhaps the update will convince cyp and crew to update everything, maps, spawns, gamemodes, etc.
1.8 but in 1.9 there's gliders and that would be hella cool for like, archer pvp, op pvp, kitpvp, skyblock and maybe infection
In 1.9, you cannot spam click in pvp. It will be about timing, the better the timing the higher the damage. If you spam click like how normal pvp is now, it will do little to no damage to players and will result in a major disadvantage versing someone who times their clicks. e.g, when I click with a diamond sword, i'd do 7 damage, then a bar will reload. When this bar is fully loaded I will be able to deal max damage again, however, if I click again before the bar has reloaded then I will not deal max damage.
