Hello All. In this thread you are reading, I will like to talk about "Macros" EDITED: What are Macros? Macros is where you keybind ANYTHING you want to a key, so say in KitPvP you keybind /heal in "f". So when ever you press "f" it /heals you. Why should Macros be aloud? I think Macros should be aloud in OPPrison especially, since it's "OP" Macros in OpPrison would be great to mine with, and you could get $$$ way more faster. I don't really think Macros should be aloud in KitPvP, but anywhere is should be ok to use Macros. Because it KitPvP if you use Macro /heal to a key, and you use it when you on like 1 heart, it basically gives you a 2nd life, and enought time to run away. Ctrl + V and Macros. I fell using Ctrl V is almost the exact same time as Macros, if you want to use Ctrl V, Just change the keys so you don't have to reach over half the keyboard, and I'm sure if you put the keys right next to each other, it can be done in a split second. Macros, It's really up to you if you want an advantage over everyone, and It's really your choice if you download a Macros Mod. Overall. I think Macros should no be bannable especially on OpPrison. On Kitpvp, some people get banned because I titan healed them, so I think they shouldn't make it bannable on all servers, because people get accused for it when they're actually not using Macros, and I'm sure it would save Mod's hard work for hackers.
I understand why you would use them, but I'm sure they are not allowed because it gives you an unfair advantage. Will be up for more discussion, as the topic has come up recently.
No, it's normally hard to see the difference, macro use is normally a small portion quicker. Easily noticeable in pvp, when mining though, just check how fast they are teleporting. @Pile_of_Butts Should we bring this to more discussion?
My setup gives me 17 customizable buttons, none are setup for Mincraft, for I would be cheating myself getting an advantage in pvp just because I have some money laying arround. Fair playing field is the baseline qwerty keyboard anything else is cheating yourself and having no respect for the person you're versing. Though with things like mining in OpPris I don't think a ban is necessary.
Apparently our server has no problem with things that give an advantage, judging by the fact that /heal is in PvP servers in the first place. Support, macros should be allowed I use to use them for mining on OP prison.
No support this gives an unfair advantage to the people able to have macros vs the people unable to have macros. And when you say that the macro speed is a tiny bit faster... It's not you can be pvping the whole time not lose your strafe. You never stop pvping with a macro but when you have to copy paste that still takes 1-3 seconds out of your pvp for the enemy to be able to hit you, 1-2 seconds is HUGE when pvping. No support, also many people might be tempted to use metro ( allows macros with hack client) just to get macros , then more hacker.
no support sorry although ctrl + V is hardly a macro, its a windows shortcut that shouldnt be bannable
