you should not take it out cause some day your gonna swear then boom muted then boom you will regret what you have done and that is a bad idea
What we need is a plugin where it blocks people when they post 3 or more things. If they say 2 things, then let them be. Is this in the suggestions section?
I personally think it should be removed on all the game modes. Usually where I play, (Op PvP) people would advertise servers, websites, etc. and of course, /me allows them to get past anything. Such as '.' Obviously very annoying. Support!
Well ok then but we don't have to do that we can mute them for 5 mins if they say something once if they do it again make it like 15 then 1 hour if they keep doing it make it a day and the reset of spam is one day
I somewhat agree, but it's bad enough we have purple all over the place but with color codes you can't get past filters or spam, however it's a lot more color than just purple, and people are gonna use it for advertising, role-plays (which is so stupid) and just regularly talking because they think that no one will see their message if it's not in color.
Except who's on to mute them? People are using /me 24/7 (literally, because of timezones) and not all the moderators are on to mute EVERYONE. It might just be my timezone but I never see mods on when it's the most spam.
You do realize there is a message cool down, correct? If the people were to spam and get muted for an entire day, the moderators practically have to mute the whole server. Muting for 15 mins, 1 hour, will not stop them from spamming. So why not just remove /me?
I don't think the command should be removed I think there needs to be a Active moderator on the Server to Patrol and make sure it's clean of all the filth of players on there. So many players abuse that command, Lots of people swear, Talk dirty and etc. And this isn't a Appropriate Game mode for Young users and needs Staff to clean it up. So instead of removing it suggest to the Admins they need more Active, Dedicated, Hard working Staff to help the server out. ;).
That's a first. It's nice to see someone who has a positive outlook on the command. That's why I applied to be a moderator, for people who spam like that (and other reasons, of course)
