Anti-cheat was very problematic and causes more issues than it is worth. But yes a better system to prevent hackers would benefit the community greatly.
Anti cheat is helpful but causes problems as Krissy_ said earlier. I'd like to elaborate on that: Some problems - 1. Those with lag kicked due to "flying" as coordinates change more quickly due to the fps/ping/lag. 2. Those who accidentally glitch through or into walls may get kicked/banned automatically for wallhacking, etc.
This one isn't. http://www.spigotmc.org/resources/aac-advanced-anti-cheat-hack-kill-aura-blocker.6442/
Nope, this one is under $20. http://www.spigotmc.org/resources/aac-advanced-anti-cheat-hack-kill-aura-blocker.6442/
It's got 1.5k downloads and 95% of its reviews are 5 star. Plus, I've used it myself and comes with consistent updates. It really is 'The best anti-cheat out there'.
Badlion offered to sell us theirs for $50k I heard a while back, coukd be wrong but good anticheat software costs alot
lolno, you can pickup a custom coded anti-cheat 100x better than there's for less than $100 mate. I don't know where you heard that but that's the most ridiculous thing I've heard for a long time.
that is a great idea... but most plug ins to prevent hacks are really buggy and cause lots of lag. My idea was to maybe set up a thing where you can report people that you think are hacking. If 3 people report that the same person is hacking, then a moderator comes and watches them (invisible), to see if they are, if it looks like they are then the moderate can take it from there. The mod can choose to ban, kick, and give a warning to the person... this idea may help a little more then a plug in because it would help lower lag.
I suppose that can be another option, though personally I disagree. Smart idea though;I never thought about that one.
Mineverse already has an Anti-Cheat that prevents a lot of hacks. They just need a better once to prevent more commonly used hacks.
