That's what I was looking for. Mini-mod.

Whenever I see you in game, you Mini-Mod (acting superior to other players, acting like you control the chat etc.) I suggest that you just try to be as active and helpful as you can, but don't act like you're a mod please. If someone is spamming/cursing just ask them to stop nicely (once or twice), and if they don't, report.
I'm keeping my no support as of now.

 

That is what I do now (be active and helpelful) ... I would like an example of what the two of you mean please because as it is I am still lost (mini modding)

 

Allow me to clarify.

"Mini-Modding" is when a player acts superior to players like they are a mod, hence the name "Mini-Mod."
Mini-Mods are annoying because they are just regular players, but they still act like they are a staff member. Mini-Modding is different from helping because when you are helping/telling someone to stop swearing, you are doing it from a player perspective. When you are Mini-Modding, you act like a Moderator even though you have no perms, and no superiority to other players.

 

Then what am I supposed to do? Let the player continue swearing? If me asking the player to stop swearing is classed as mini modding then yes I am guilty however in what way is this anoying to anyone except the person who is swearing? Also on the helping side of things, am I supposed to just make a player wait for a moderator and not help them?

In no way do I think I am acting like I am better than anyone, all I do is watch the chat for spammers and swearers and ask them to stop if they do it. And as I said for helping, what am I supposed to do? Let the player go unhelped?

 

You are supposed to kindly help the player. You aren't supposed to act superior to others.

I completely disagree with what you are saying as you can imagine but thank you for your response I truly believe that is not the way I am ingame however it is your opinion so thank you

 

You don't want to be too soft, you need to be hard inside too. You need to keep your calm and remember, this is a big thing, even if you do get it. Don't mess it up,

As for the people telling you you're a mini-mod, don't pay attention to them. As @MaxNinja10 once told me, do what you feel is right.
