WolfBane's Staff App Who am I? Welcome fellow Mineverser’s to my staff application! If you already haven’t known, my name is Steve or “WolfBane,” as you may refer to me as on here. If you wish to know more about me, feel free to read my introduction to Mineverse here. It has been only three months since I had first joined this wonderful community. In these three months, I have made many strides to improve this server and its community for the better. Having the opportunity to befriend the many amazing people whom of which compose the whole of Mineverse. In these three months, I had always wondered how I could I help further make a difference. It is then I realized; what better could I achieve these goals than by joining the ranks of the staff team? This is why I have decided to finally make an application. To further help benefit Mineverse, and truly express the dedication I have put into this community. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ How old are you? 17 years old Your in-game name? Do you have the necessary means of capturing evidence? (i.e. recording software, screenshots, etc) I various tools at my disposal to capture rule breakers around Mineverse. For screenshots I use a program called “Lightshot,” which can immediately link a screenshot in seconds. For recording software I primarily use OBS (open broadcast software). I also sometimes use Bandicam when needed. This video evidence can be uploaded directly to my YouTube. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Why do you think you should become a mod? I think I should be given the opportunity of moderating on Mineverse for various reasons. For starters, I would like to address that I do not want mod to benefit just myself. Sure, the pretty blue/red tint to my IGN that comes with the staff rank is “cool.” Sure, having the perks that come alongside mod are also “cool,” but that is not why I solely want this rank. I want the rank of staff to benefit both the community and staff team alike. For too long I have seen Mineverse plagued by rule breakers, and have a handful of staff members shrugging off their duties so easily. I wish to actually make changes on Mineverse, and enforce the rules upon those who wish to break them. I have many key characteristics that could only benefit the staff team: Experienced – As you will read towards the end of my application, I have plenty of experience when it comes to dealing with various situations. I know what it is like to staff on Minecraft, and know what it takes to get the job done well. I am well aware of the many commands I am to use to perform my job well (Ex: /Kick, /Mute/, /Ban,). Friendly – In the three months I have been a member of this community, I have tried my best to show kindness to all. Perceptive – I have a keen eye when it comes to spotting trouble. Whether it be a hacker, advert, or spammer. I am well aware of my surroundings, and am quick to spot out a rule breaker. Persistent – If you personally know me, you may know I am a pretty persistent person. I will not stop until the task at hand is completed, and done properly. Efficient – I am very fast when it comes to resolving issues. With the various software I have for capturing evidence at my disposal, it does not take me very long to have a rule breaker ejected from the server. Outgoing – If you’ve tracked my activities on both the forums and server, you may know I am very outgoing. I love socializing with people no matter the age. Talking with those around me and making friends is something I do cherish. I also love to speak my mind, offering my personal opinions and feedback. Humorous – It is no lie I love to make people laugh. While I am professional when it comes to handling my duties, I also love to have a good time as well. Respectful – Much like in my physical life, I respect all of those around me. Even those who I may not exactly get along with as well. I respect every single person here on Mineverse, and treat everyone equally no matter the differences. Caring – Both in my physical and virtual life, I care of those around me. I have shown this numerous times on Mineverse. Whether helping someone with a personal issue, or just simply answering one’s question, I care of all. Not only this, but I have also displayed my care of this server and its community alike. Maturity – I’ve always been claimed to be too mature for my age. While I both agree and disagree with this statement, I must admit I am rather mature. While I do like to have fun and joke with others, I handle myself and the situations that are thrown my way in a mature manner. How long can you be active on the server everyday? My activity in the first two months of joining Mineverse has been proven lackluster. This mainly due to the fact that I was very occupied from September to October, trying to push for changes on Mineverse. Not only this, but I was also occupied trying to straighten out a situation I had with my school. With this said, I understand these are no such excuses to exempt my overall inactivity on the server. That is why I have recently increased my server activity tremendously. Just like everyone on here, I do have school work that may have minor impact on my availability. In addition, I also work a part time job on the side as well, which may also have a minor impact. Below are the times I can typically work per day: Saturday – Sunday: 2-4 hours Monday – 1-2 hours (I have both school and work) Tuesday – Thursday: 2-5 hours Friday – 1-2 hours (Same as Monday) **During holidays, I can likely work an additional 2 hours per day, depending on if I have work or not.** ***These times may change in the future depending on potential job schedule changes, summer vacation, etc!*** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ How long have you been playing Mineverse? I have been playing Mineverse since September 10, 2015. Have you ever been banned in the past? (Forums & In-game) I have never been banned on the forums and in-game. Do you have any past experience as a moderator? My vast experiences I have had in both moderating and administrating differentiates myself from most. I have wide knowledge’s when it comes to moderating over various gaming communities. These experiences I’ve had with staffing date back to 2011, when I was just 12 years old. It was 2011 I first joined the realm of online multiplayer on my most nostalgic childhood game, Grand Theft Auto IV. I remember I joined this lovely little gaming community called “Office Riot Forums,” soon after. It is here when I first began learning the basics of staffing over a Forums site. Eventually, a large group of my prior virtual friends and I left ‘ORF’ to form our on community. It is here I further learnt how to moderate, and truly found a love for gaming communities large and small. In 2014 I began enjoying Minecraft more and more. Eventually, I decided to join a Minecraft server roughly the same size as Mineverse. I quickly fell in love with this server’s community, and soon found myself applying for staff on there. Of 100 apps that were submitted in June, my app came in first place. I was then promoted to the rank of helper, where I learned the very basic fundamentals of staffing on Minecraft. I learnt quickly how to staff properly and efficiently, disposing of rule breakers at fast rates. In just two weeks the owners promoted me to Sr. Mod, where I resumed my duties as a staff members. After leaving this server, a few friends and I decided to create our own Minecraft server. It is here I learnt the very basics of how Minecraft Servers function, and how to administrate. Over the course of the next three months, our server gained a constant populace of around 50-80 players. Unfortunately, I closed the server down in October of 2014 due to overwhelming pressure from personal matters. My experience when it comes to the matter of staffing ranges far and wide. I have the knowledge on how to properly staff on Minecraft servers, and have even staffed over communities dedicated to different games. This four year journey of mine has not only helped improve my knowledge of staffing, but also taught me the very basic characteristics a moderator requires. These characteristics being maturity, efficiency, perception, and respectfulness. With this experience, I have learnt to deal with various situations and people. Much like my experiences in my physical life, these experiences I’ve had have also helped shape me into the person I am now. Anything else to say? I would like to end things by personally thanking each of you for reading my staff application. I truly care for this community, and hope that I expressed this well throughout my app. I am more than grateful to have the opportunity to apply for staff on here. Mineverse has become a part of my life in the past three months, and I have absolutely no regrets of this. If I do become staff, I promise to all that I will not contradict the promises I have given in my application. I promise that I will try my best to perform my job well, and work as hard as I can. I was brought up in my personal life that by working hard, you can truly find achievement. I personally would like to wish the best of luck to all of those who have applied. I can list many applicants on here that are more perhaps more worth for the rank of staff as I am. People such as @WolfWhispers, @Mega , @Puri~ , etc. Many people who have also dedicated themselves to this community, and share similar intentions. If I am not accepted into the staff team, no worries. My dedication and activities on this server won’t cease, and I will not personally hold anything against those who do not support my application. Finally, I would once again like to thank Cyp and Noob for the work they’ve put into Mineverse. As I said before, owning and managing over servers both large and small can be a rather difficult task. You two have committed a portion of your personal lives to safeguard, and run this server year round. Not only this, but I thank you for giving me the opportunity to apply for moderator on Mineverse. If you both accept me into the ranks of staff, I promise I won’t disappoint either of you. As I also said, if I am not accepted then I will understand and respect your decisions. Ha that's pretty funny. You remind me a lot of bananaman when he wasn't staff. A very mature person who I knew would get mod at some point, it was just a matter of when. I would list all of your good qualities, but it seems as though you have already stated them in your mod app, so I'll just leave you with a support and good luck~
