What is happening to Mineverse?

When I first began playing Mineverse in late October of 2013, Mineverse was quick, popular, and lag free!
Yet nowadays you cant go anywhere without experiencing large amounts of lag.

The lag started kicking in for me about 2-3 weeks ago, and sometimes it is impossible to even connect to the hub. (As i'm writing this, I cannot connect).
Things like time outs and disconnections happen everyday. Whilst playing ArcherPvP the whole game just stops every 10 - 15 minutes, and then after about 10 seconds everything suddenly catches up and everything teleports everywhere.

I don't know where the server has went wrong, wether it's a problem their side or mine, however I run a pretty sturdy and fast connection, and so does everyone else who experience the lag with me.
Some people ask me for help on the Hub, saying that they are experiencing time outs whilst connecting to gamemodes like Creative and Factions.
And, there is nothing I can do other than tell them to come to the forums and report it here.

The server isn't bad in any way, no easily found major bugs, no exploits (than are major) and we often have a very helpful and supportive community and player base.
However, it is the lag that is killing the server, making it literally unplayable at times.

What are the major disadvantages with these lag spikes?

I am in to PvP and play both KitPvP and ArcherPvP (Archer mainly), and everyday I get lag spikes, in fact every hour I get lag spikes. These spikes are fatal in PvP, and can mean everything.
The game just stops, everything freezes, most people are stuck mid-air, items are hovering in the sky, and every command and piece of text written is delayed by about 30 seconds.
Eventually, everything unfreezes and everything quickly teleports everywhere.

Disconnections are also a horrible thing whilst playing any PvP gamemode, as the Combat Tag can take your items if you get disconnected, and you can't do anything about this, just pray that the server doesn't start lagging.

I get a lot of lag in the lobby, and horrible ping, sometimes I cannot connect. But like most big servers things like these happen

 

I can't tell if it's just my laptop or if it's the server, but i often lag out and get kicked... I feel your pain </3

 

Nope, everyone's lagging, not just him.

 

Basically everyone thinks they're too good for the server so they ruin it.

 

1. No, it doesn't consume much bandwidth until you have terrible internet.
2. MINECRAFT DOES NOT CONSUME "A LOT OF BANDWIDTH."
3. Assuming people can't play without lag is quite stupid.
4. More powerful routers have nothing to do with how much bandwidth you get. Sure, it could help, but it's all about your ISP. Your ISP limits you on your speeds.
5. Why did you blame others then say Noobcrew is going to fix it?

 

Uhh, maybe because you weren't given a powerful enough router?
You can't MODIFY YOUR ISP. You can only change who your provider is.
Do you know what an ISP is?

Just so you understand, your internet performance is a combination of your ISP and your router. It's not all your youter. Your ISP is the company you pay to for your internet access. You cannot modify the company that gives you access to the internet. lmfao.

 

The lobby is lagging for me and I often experience lag on kitpvp and I have died multiple times due to it. It needs to be fixed. I remember a long time ago when the server was lagging for about 3 weeks (horrible lag) to the point where you couldn't join and if you did you would be disconnected when you tried to do anything. The issue was fixed. I started playing again and the lag is back but not as bad.

 

You know... if you just kindly pay $50 more... and talk to your nice provider... they will provide a lot more bandwidth...

See the bundles? Yeah, that's how you pay for your internet. You pay for your speeds monthly. It's not like if you pay them once $50 then they'll upgrade your speeds. Some only offer a certain amount of speed. The only way to upgrade your speeds is to upgrade your bundle. Now, kid, please stop pestering about this. You know you're wrong.

 

Takes me 3minutes to connect to Mineverse...then another few minute connecting to servers from lobby....then I lag out :(

 

It's not me, I know what Bandwidth is, and I find your post highly immature and rude.
Also, most people (as you can see in the comments) are experiencing lag, disconnections and errors.

I haven't had lag quite as severe as that yet.

I have a good computer, and my FPS runs at about 120 everyday.
It's not me, its the server.

The server is lagging, about half the players cannot have bad routers.
I have a BTHub and they do just fine, when I connect to other servers I am fine, when I play Xbox, I am fine.

Actually a lot of other people lag as well

I don't actually lag much myself, only when there's a lot of people, and I only lag every 20 minutes or so

 

There were some times, I had issue with. One was it was laggy in some servers and we recently had a hacker who make certain people crash in creative. I was one of the crash players there and I couldn't play in creative for over a week. It's great I can play there since it was fixed but seriously, needs a little more adjustment

Okay i agree the lag is too intense
And then we have not having AntiCheat on bedwars.
As we speak, dumb hackers are hacking the minigames. We need the mods to be more active on minigames, thus improving staff.

 

Moderators don't have moderator powers on minigames. Also, they are active on minigames. I've been playing bw and btc with a couple moderators quite recently
