Just a quick question here, is there any way to take down a thread apart from a higher member of staff, if not should there be? there is an option to delete your comment on a post so where is the option to delete a thread?

      Much thanks -32rhys32

Non-staff members cannot delete threads, but they can delete their own posts/comments.

Thanks for the information Scorvix, is there a certain level of staff that can delete posts or just moderator + ?

All staff. Mods, admins, and builders. But I don't think builders spend much time moderating.

Thanks for the info, I think if builders were to moderate it would be in terms of the building side of things

Also, if you want you can have a moderator send it to archive where it cannot be commented on again.

That is not the only solution, they can lock it so It can not be commented on if necessary, so they would not need to send to archives

I'm pretty sure as soon as they lock it , it sends it to archive.

I don't think so. I've seen locked threads out of archive.

Depending on the thread it will be moved to archives. Most threads are archived when locked.
Yes we have to manually move the threads
Yes we can see soft deleted posts.

They first lock the thread and then move it to archive like how they would move a post to Off-topic, suggestions, etc. They're 2 separate actions
