When religion stops being used as a political tool, and an excuse for war and genocide, we will have the means for a enriched society. The day that they legalize gay marriage here in Australia is the day that I finally regain some hope in our politics. One member of the senate here is trying to push for a 'conscience vote', basically saying "Hey, I don't want this to go to the polls because I know that Australia will have the majority vote saying 'yes'. Let's pretend to vote for it but actually not vote for it" Anyway that's my two cents. /note; that's a lot longer than I intended it to be, sorry/
