Sorry but this comment is very rude. Each mod is an individual with strengths and weaknesses, even bananaman. Just because you think he is great does not mean we should suddenly be him. It is ridiculous to suggest that we need to conform to one member of our team because you think he is a good mod. Whether this was a joke or real it is very insulting. I know a hard working bunch of moderators who do a lot behind the scenes, some really experienced mods with wonderful work ethic and plenty of great ideas for this server who get zero public recognition because their name doesn't say head mod. But you cannot see that, I would have thought that would have occurred to you. Think about this. You have school so you cannot play minecraft. You tell your mate "I can't come on today, im snowed under with assignments". What makes that excuse less legitimate for a mod? It doesn't. It is the same deal. Mods have lives, we dont stop having lives, school, sport, offline friends, work etc just because we were promoted. It is a valid excuse, no matter if it is frustrating that there are no mods online at certain points or activity across certain game-mods are low. Or maybe you dont understand how much work it takes to look after certain game-modes like pvp. For myself I dislike pvp game-modes. The two game-mode only rule was horrible. The problem is what players expect of global mods. It is not right to say all mods need to moderate every single game-mode every day. The expectations are too high so many of us look like we do nothing when we are working hard. We have had mods resign because of players behaviours on this server; rude, threatening, abusive, argumentative and disrespectful, yet some have the nerve to complain when there isn't enough mods around to take up their complaints. So can you blame Cyp? No. He promotes a bunch of mods but we leave almost as fast as he can read all the apps (including suggestions from mods). And Cyp promotes when he sees the need to. He needs to read apps, look at the persons activity, make sure who he chooses are trustworthy and mod material. It takes time. I like how this thread actually addresses the fact we need more mods not "all current mods are crap". But threads like this are not necessary.
@CypriotMerks is doing his best to read people's application. You have to be patient like everyone else. He selects the best ones for the job as global moderator. If your not patient, then don't bother making a staff app. I'm patient and my goal is to become a mod too. Waiting is important and becoming active as well as helpful in-game/forums.
Ok, I do agree we need more mods, but Cyp is trying his hardest, reading over a 1000 pages of applications. But are Staff are good, you can't go around calling any mod a bad moderator, also Moderators aren't computers, there people that have lives, school, work, family interaction, they can't always be on there computer, so before you go complain about Inactive mods, remember that they have lives just like you.
The staff team right now is full of extremely hard working members, A lot of it is behind the scene where none of you can see it but other members of the team. Just be aware that every moderator on the team right now is doing an extremely great job, You're complaining about seeing hackers online then you should record and report them because being honest a moderator isn't going to be online 24 hours a day on every gametype. Cyp is working extremely hard keeping the server in working order and can't promote a player every single time a thread like this is created. tbh these types of threads really are just a huge put down to the staff team because you don't know how much work we actually do.
<3 Legendary words, @NoobCupCake. I recommend closing this thread, and forbidding any other threads in the same genre of this topic.
I think you guys are getting abit off topic (even the mods). I agree with there being a lack of mods becuase franky there is, I could spend days on Op Prison and not see a mod, same goes with infection. I fully respect the mods and what you guys do for the server, but just think to yourselves have say another 50 more mods? What would that do the workload of people like Banana and Pile? More Mods? Your reaction should be yes! More mods would be nice. As is goes with cyps hard work, It would be nice to see some of it, like even a "no" when some suggests something (like my infection spawn, or doesens of mod apps). Many hands make light work.
We are getting off topic, and now that we've covered the case, shouldn't we close this thread? @Scorvix @NoobCupCake
