I was just curious as to how one could disable the rating system, 1. Just how, like, does it take the little gui thing away, or what? 2. I understand we do it for bans and mutes, but how would we do something like this without screwing it up for others?

It's one button in the admin panel. You just remove the permission to rate.

How would you define rate abuse? When someone rates your post with a bad rating like dislike or disagree; After spamming it more than 2 times it is defined as rateabuse.
What are your opinions on the removal of the ratings permission from users?

I disagree. The players may have just been really active and could have been on the forums for ages and really viewed lots of threads and genuinely put his/her opinions down and rated some posts properly, and thus this would happened. "Winner" and "Informative" ratings are usually given to mature like posts, etc. Unless the person is farming ratings. Overall, I am neutral with this idea.

Pile, by the pictures shown, a very good example then would be you, sorry for all this negativity. If you look at the ratings you received and had given, that is an absurd amount compared to typical players, and it is quite similar to the others' ratings shown above in the attachments u showed us. Does that mean your permissions should be revoked? No, of course not!

I don't really understand what you are seeing as "absurd" about my ratings, but I've been here 2 years. I have given almost no negative ratings in that time.

Also this has already been put in effect.

How would you define rate abuse? (Please be as clear as possible) Whenever someone gives you an unnecessary negative rating.

@Ares_Xena You disagreed with my post.
Maybe I should clarify so you and anyone else reading is aware.

We introduced 2 new forum groups for rate abusers about 3 weeks back.
      • 30 day removal of ratings permission. -Punishment for repeat rate abusers.
      • Permanent removal of ratings permission. -Ultimate punishment for repeat rate abusers.

Yes, others may have been here for 2 years like you and had the same ratings statistics. That doesn't mean that they should have their rate permissions revoked. The ratings I'm talking about are shown in your profile page and the attachments you had shown us.

Pile, so what is considered rate abusing? Giving 3 rates per hour?

Some people may look at content at a different perspective than you, therefore, give a different opinion. They may interpretate things differently, everybody isn't the same as you, nor will they have the same opinion as you in a thread or post.

I think it should be in respect to how many posts you have etc because I will just camp the forums some times and issue loads of rates from funny to agree to disagree to optimistic
