For 3+ hours, no pigmen have spawned in my gold generator. Yesterday, it was working perfectly fine, but now ... not so much.

Is this a bug or is it intended?

Is there something I need to do before it starts spawning?

Edit #1: NVM. They have started spawning after the server restarted.

 

Since you stated they are spawning, is the problem solved?

 

It does that from time to time. had that problem sometimes too.

 

I would suggest rebuilding it and or making it bigger. Good luck!

 

Its not the size, its the hostile mobs as a whole! They sometimes just don't spawn for a period of time. Anywhere from 20 minutes to a couple of hours!

 

Yeah the term "grinders are turned off" is used a lot in prison. There is nothing wrong with the portals it is just the server.

 

Yeah cause me and someone else kept trying to figure out why one night. He said they not spawning, about an hour later they started spawning again. Yay for skyblock glitch!

Well it could be if you keep moving around a lot the chunks will load and unload from your computer, causing the tick cycle for mobs to restart when the chunk is load in.

 

You probably need to keep the chunks loaded. I would say you either aft near the portal or just work on ur sky block near the portals. You wanna be between 24-36 blocks I believe for optimal spawning.
