This thread is to answer frequently asked questions players have been wanting to know the answers to in-game and on the forums. Hopefully, this thread will be of use and expand on answers/information to help new players. How do I apply for Moderator? 1) Copy the format located here: http://www.mineverse.com/threads/updated-mod-application-template-read-before-posting.1/ 2) Click the circled button below, located in the 'Moderator Applications' section: 3) Paste the copied template and answer the questions, then simply click 'Create Thread', located at the bottom of the message box. How do I start a conversation? First, you will need to search for the person you would like to start a conversation with. You can do this by typing their name into one of the sections of the search bars located in the top right hand corner. If you are on a mobile or touch screen device, you will need to click the magnifying glass in the top right hand corner. Next, click on their name and click 'Start a Conversation', circled in this photo. Finally, type your message and click 'Post Reply' at the bottom of the message box. How do I attach a file to a conversation? The easiest ways to send files to other players is to either upload the image/gif to Imgur, located here: http://imgur.com/ and send the direct link after uploading. Or to 'Upload a File' to a conversation. You can do this by clicking the circled button below once the conversation has been opened. How do I report a user's content on the forums If you are browsing the forums and notice a user has been demonstrating inappropriate behaviour, you can report the content and it will be dealt with by a Moderator. You can find the report bottom in the bottom right hand corner of every thread, thread message and profile post. Unfortunately, I can not report a player as an example to show you, but I will get a screenshot to add to this thread soon. How do I create a ban appeal? First, you must copy the format for ban appeals which can be located at this link: http://www.mineverse.com/threads/ban-appeal-form-read-carefully.297/ Next head to the ban appeals section. http://www.mineverse.com/forums/ban-appeals.87/ Click the 'Post New Thread' button in the top right hand corner. Paste the ban appeal format into the thread box and answer all the questions. Make sure you have: The exact ban message A good title. [Gamemode banned on] Your IGN [Ban reason] [Banning moderator's name] Then, simply click 'Create Thread', located at the bottom of the message box. Remember to always be honest in your appeals! How to quote a user in threads Knowing how to quote someone is very useful. You should quote someone when you are directly speaking to them so they can get an alert in case they are not watching the thread. You can do this by clicking the 'Reply' button, shown in the screenshot below. Clicking the reply button will automatically quote the user. Then, simply type your reply and click 'Post Reply'. BB codes I wont go into detail about BB codes in this thread because all you need to know is already here!
