Now I would like to tell you a little bit about the person behind the screen. Im 15, and I'm Australian, although my parents came from a different background. I've been playing minecraft for around three years now. How old are you? I am currently 15 Your in-game name: My in-game name is currently Sir_Jason What timezone are you in? My timezone is (GMT + 10:00) What country do you live in? I currently live in Australia, Melbourne What languages do you speak? My main language is English, and some other languages I can speak are Chinese and Italian. Why do you think you should become a mod? One of my strongest points is in communication with players, being friendly and being able to talk and reply to them as fast as i could giving them the correct information and the correct commands. Also i am always up for just talking to a player even if they are having no issues at all, I think this is a good point as it would be good for the players to be able to feel like they can talk to staff members and interact with them, without being under any pressure at all. Another one of my strong points is knowing the rules and what is and is not allowed. For example if a player was wanting to know if better sprint was allowed, I would be able to respond to them fast and let them know that it is allowed, this links back to me having good communication skills and responding fast. I am a fun person and love to have conversations with members. But when Force needs to be applied I drop the act and get on the problem. I know what to do in situations such as dealing with hackers or just a person spamming in the chat. I am always willing to help someone that needs it and I am just an overall nice guy, greeting and answering questions whenever possible. I love to interact with everyone anyway I can. The experience I have had prepares me for the job that I need to do and I am always ready. I have been on this server for more than a year and I think that Mineverse will always have a place in my heart. I want nothing more than to see it succeed. The people here have certainly been a huge part of my life and I have made lifetime friends thanks to just being here. I want to do my part again in a much more positive attitude than I have in the past. I have been class captain for the past three years and I am currently part of the school's representative council so being a part of a team is no new thing for me, I also posses high leadership skills and I am never afraid any task that is placed in front of me. Tools I currently have both Fraps and Gyazo, which I have used to submit in offenses to staff so they were able to perform their jobs effectively. I also have a stable internet connection, so disconnections are few and far in between. Plus the most powerful of all "tools", the community. I feel as though I am able to make connections to players all around, which may be the most important aid to any staff member. Since the community can be the eyes and ears when you're not in a specific server. Community Attitude I'm that one user that makes sure everyone is okay, and having a pleasant time on the server. I try and be as respectful and joyful as possible. I love making people happy, and you can expect that from me because I'm a very fun user to be around. Yet at times i can be very serious, this can happen in the blink of an eye. Personally if i end up becoming a staff member, this is the server i would be spending my free time on, throughout the summer and so on i plan to grow with the server. Trustworthiness Being trusted is not given it must be earned. I am ready and willing to earn the trust of the rest of the Mineverse staff team. In everyday activities you must be trustworthy. Without trust almost nothing can ever get done. Outside of minecraft I am a very trustworthy person. I am a member of our schools SRC (Student representative counsel) who is the voice of the students, we help students within our school and we also give suggestions to the principle every week as to how we can make our school better by our fellow class members suggestions. Maturity I feel like I am a very mature and understanding person. Whenever I situation comes up I always do my best to come out with the best outcome possible. You always need to keep a level head and help to the best of your abilities to be able to be a good staff member. Passion Without the love and enthusiasm to help people there is no reason to be on the staff team. I feel this is one of my strongest reasons on why I would be a good staff member. This reason does not just refer to in game to me. Of course whilst in game I am always happy to help and will do anything to help some one. However outside of Mineverse I'm also happy to help people. My grandmother and I go to salvation army to help feed the hungry once a month. Also we go to Seeds of Hope which is another organization that helps feed the hungry. I also donate my old clothes to quite a few organizations that help clothe homeless or less privileged people. I feel this would make me a better staff member and a better person all around. How long can you be active on the server everyday? Currently I am able and do play from dusk till dawn. Whether this is just being reading chat and talking or playing in full, I am generally on and interacting with the server. I have the ability to have a near constant watch over chat and messages I receive to jump straight to a server to help out. I play about 4-5 hours on weekends and 2-4 hours on Weekdays. Unless I have something important to attend to something personal/family related. How long have you been playing Mineverse? I have already answered this question above, but in any case I am happy to repeat myself. I have been playing on Mineverse for a little over a year now, and it has had a massive impact on my life. I was originally skyping with one of my friends and he was telling me about how he had found an AMAZING server and how we should go record some videos on Kit-Pvp. So that's how I basically started out on Mineverse. Have you ever been banned in the past? In regards to this question, I have never been Banned, muted or kicked from any servers. I have always had a thing for following the rules and never stood out in a bad way. Because I personally believe that if you ever damage your reputation it will be something that will stick to you where ever you go. Thus I have always did my best to stick out on all the possible positive ways. Do you have any past experience as a moderator? I am well with most things moderator related. Such as Chat Moderation or just Moderation in general-finding people abusing the system and ruining the gaming experience for others. I have had some work with plugins and I must admit they are not my piece of cake. I have worked as an Administrator, Moderator and Helper on various servers such as The Arkham Network and MinePlex. Some of my greatest achievements are being able to help massive servers such as MinePlex where I held a spot as a SrMod watching over and guiding new trainees as well as maintaining the peace on all their different servers. I resigned from that position a while ago due to the massive workload that I was expected to complete and it just did not fit in with my school and social life. Since then I have been helping out slightly smaller servers such as The Arkham Network, and I am currently on my way to a promotion to Moderator. I have come to Mineverse seeking my next new challenge, It has been a massive part of my life and I have decided to give back to the server. So I hope that you all will really give me a chance to prove my worth on the staff team, I assure you that I will be a major asset to the team! An example of this is school. I always get highest honors which is having an overall average of 90% or above. I am also in SRC (School representative council). Which involves intelligence, open mindless, and most of all a good work ethic. I always make sure to schedule my night so I can fit in the things I love while still maintaining good grades. I have Badminton on most nights of the week which makes it hard to keep up grades but I always make sure I can schedule in everything to do well on my studies. I'm more than willing to take the extra time to learn anything I do not know or correct something I have wrong or done wrong. I'm more than willing to own-up to any mistakes I may make or have made in the past or future. I can get what I need to do done and make sure I do my job right and not joke around. I'm a very friendly & easy to talk to person who likes to have fun on Mineverse just like everyone else! ( I don't want someone to think I'm not any fun & serious all the time!) My love for the community and the server altogether makes me believe I could be a good staff member! These are all the reasons I feel like I would be a very good addition to Mineverse staff team. I love how you go above and beyond duties of staff, you are immensely helpful on Kit-Pvp and infection servers. Also you are active on most other servers. You give advice and tips while also going out of your way to make sure that others have an enjoyable time on Mineverse, such as giving them your kits and items and showing respect to all players.
