In this thread I refer to threads that are 30 days or older as "grandpa threads." Specific rules,No.2,Warnings: "Bumping a thread older than 30 days is classified as spam. If the response is not deemed necessary and would require a new thread to be started you will receive an infraction for gravedigging/necroposting." Members, and staff are members too, have been claiming that moderator applications can be bumped after 30 days without the bumper infracting gravedigging/necroposting rules. The rule above simply states that grandpa threads cannot be bumped. The rule never specifies which thread(s) this rule applies to so I'll presume this counts for every thread created. Supporting a grandpa thread application is not "necessary." As the rule states a grandpa thread bump is only necessary if staff deem it to be so. Have staff have been using this as a tool to evade thread gravedigging/necroposting rules? Players whom are not staff members cannot deem a bump necessary, so why are players claiming they can post in grandpa threads without infracting set rules? I could be completely wrong and posting in grandpa threads is allowed but the aim of this thread is to expand on the rules of gravedigging/necroposting if I am wrong. Myne
What is gravedigging? Gravedigging is when you bump or up a thread in most of the Mineverse forums. Bumping or Up-ing will result in your thread being locked otherwise after warnings you may receive a temporary ban from the forums. Thanks Dan
This thread is about what threads are allowed to bypass the gravedigging rule, and if there are any that can they should be specified in the rules.
This makes sense, bumping can certainly be annoying but for important threads (Such as staff applications) It would help if you were allowed to bump.
In reference to this: http://www.mineverse.com/threads/forum-grave-dig-specify.57136/ This is a similar thread right?
Thread Locked on request. If you disagree to this action, please report this post, and a moderator or administrator will reconsider it. Kind regards, The Staff
