Attacked by advertisers.

First off, last I heard, mods don't have perms to ip ban.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Mineverse ran off a proxy? Wouldn't everyone's ip be the same?

 

IP bans do not work, if you ipban the whole server will be banned due to our ip being on a proxy.

 

And this is why people don't want you as staff. Anyways. IP bansnever workcits now a days as simple as restarting your router to get back on. The spammers aren't doing it intentionally the spammers are the same as the mc ari if they are d mb enough to go on the server their account gets compromised land used in a spambot array.

I've been trying my best reporting every advertiser, cuz there are usually no mods whenever I'm on.

 

Well the advertisers may also change the font and the font size to override the words blocked by the system. E.g.
'Ari' becomes enlarged and a different font, therefore servers can advertise while getting away with it indirectly...

 

I thought the admins were able to ip ban a single address, avoiding the proxy. Guess not.

 

There once was a time they could. Its just too much work. Still possible cyp did it about 6 months ago.

honestly, just go simple and report them for advertising xD

 

Its already been stated in this thread, that those advertisers have many cracked accounts/alts which they can come on with when their other account gets banned. But, that does seem to be the best solution.

I got two possible solutions.
1. Go on their server and spam advertise Mineverse.
2. Ask haxor's to ddos their server.

 

Advertising a server does not make that server look good. When you advertise a server, it is basically saying you can't get players regularly (friends, mcservers.net, etc). It's a poor way of saying you can't get players legit and you need to go on another server that got their players legit just to advertise (which everyone hates) in order to get 1 or 2 players to visit (not even stay) on your server.

 

But if we spam their server with our server they will get tired of the spam and stop spamming us hoping that we will stop spamming them.

 

Cant you just capture evidence and report them? Advertising on their server makes Mineverse look bad.

 

Spam them with a random server then.
