There are people who say that 3+ negative ratings in an hour is rate abuse, and 4+ postive ratings in an hour is rate farming. @larrythebird101 said that players will be punished only if it looks like abuse. Just to make it more clear to new members, I think the rules should be more specific as to what is considered abuse and what isn't.
In the end its over a stupi rating system that just non verbally states some ones opinion. It shouldn't be positive or negative just neutral.
Why do people care about their ratings on a site that has no effect on their life. Of course the 50% on teenagers that are suffering their so called 'depression' are affected by this so yeah.
It doesn't matter that much. However, if you're going to take time to punish people for abusing the system, you might as well be specific as to what is actually against the rules.
Support, everyone has been a victim of this once or twice, and when it comes to Moderator Applications etc, It can have a big effect.
It's not rate abuse but just shows immaturity. I would love for this person to make a mod application and see how many. No supports this guy would get xD
Everyone is going to have a different view as there is no definable guide. The problem with having a system is loop holes. As demonstrated above. This is just my opinion and how i have decided to look at things, so do not think you need to follow this When i look for rates abuse I look for a couple of things: For negatives - either 1 player targeted by many (for no appropriate reason), 1 player being targeted by another player or one player targeting more than 2 people. In case 1 the ratings get removed and no punishment given, however in the other cases punishments will be given out if needed. For positives- 1 person rating one person excessively with positive rating, either profile or posts. Most rates abuse cases to me rely on context and judgement. I do hope to see some clarification on the matter soon. I do not think there is anyway to be specific but we will see.
