-_- muted for saying "i gradded " apparently thats racist.... its like getting muted for asking if someone wants a cracker. its not like i called anyone a cracker i just said it in a passive way meaning no harm... but nope just labeled as racist and muted.

let me know if any of you agree with me on this lol i get muted and temp banned from forums and the servers for small things like this all the time.

 

Well, normally they issue a verbal warning first.
They only mute (I assume) if you continue after being warned.
The staff do a good job at their jobs, and obviously you were using offending language.

Anyways, this is just a temp mute probably, so just wait it out.

 

ya it was but still i just got called racist and got muted no one said don't do that again lol they just muted me its more that this stuff happens all the time i get 2 day bans for little things that don't make sense. and i get banned off of forums all the time.

 

If you didn't want to be muted, you probably shouldn't have been rude in chat anyways...

Calling someone an a** is very very different than using a derogatory racist word. Many people take offense to what you said. It is not just a cuss word but also racist. Racism is not tolerated. It is not okay to use that word even in a passive way.

In general saying the word "ni***r" is still racist and offensive. Whether it's indirect or not. However, receiving a /mute was very unworthy.

But I agree with your second paragraph. I've been forum banned twice for the smallest things..

oh sco made a big deal of it than i think pile muted me to make him happy lol. im not mad or annything i just thought it was a topic that more ppl would have something to say about.

on a side note dont you think society is past the whole thing? like if i was black saying that would be just fine but for some reason its not ok cause im white. its just a term that is used by all ppl now no one really finds it offensive that i know... the past is the past im not raciest people are people and thats that. if i had called someone a i mean there my friend unless i call them a offensively that would be mute worthy. to most ppl its not even a cuss word annymore...

then "ban"

Then you went on to "lol"

That my friend is not making a big deal but stating 4 words.

Society as a whole may have moved on but there are still plenty of people that find that offensive. If this server used mcbans you would be reported and globally banned. It does not matter the context in which you use it nor your race. What matters is you used an unacceptable word. It goes along the lines of swearing, but much worse.

 

no one found it offensive but you and then when i was typeing to tell u than i didnt mean anny harm i got muted be for i could hit send. i said lol hit ender then started typeing again and got muted.

but if it was, you would first receive a kick called 'watch your language'
you repeat again, you get muted.

 

I only posted proof as last time I was talking about what I said, I got called a liar even though it was the truth, by a specific individual. No longer well that happen
