Quiz:

An alleged hacker has been selling banned items in KitPvP. He was reported by a player 12 hours ago. You see him online. He does not know you are there.

What course of action do you take?

 

I'll ban him/her. I wouldn't mute or kick them.

 

Alleged hacker. People think he is a hacker but have no proof. You cannot ban.

Now, for the player report. I said there was a player who reported the alleged hacker 12 hours ago. I never said that the report contained proof of any hacking. You didn't notice the 2 possible outcomes to that scenario.

Next, the alleged hacker never knew you were online. So you could either do /invsee [player] or /echest [player] (I never said anything about /echest before, apologies). If you find banned items screenshot the hackers inventory and or echest, then ban.

I support, but you need practice.

 

Although, if they had the item and sold it, it would still a ban. But thanks! You have helped, a lot.

 

If the hacker sold said item he would no longer have the item. Thus, it would be impossible to trace it back to the hacker without evidence of the exchange. If caught, the buyer would receive all of the punishment because the buyer has said item and the hacker does not. Even if the buying client blamed the hacker, there would be no evidence to support his claim. But, if the hacker sold in bulk and had multiple stacks then he could get banned.
