Looks do matter to me. Personality is more important but I would also like to be physically attracted to my partner. Hair and eyes do make a big difference to my attraction to people for some reason. All in all, personality tops but looks matter too.

I mean, if you're talking about friendship, I don't care.
If you're talking about a relationship, yes. You need some type of attraction to your significant other to actually want to be with them, or stand them.

 

True but what if they are a beautiful person, but they personalty is horrible. They are mean and ignorant. Still want to be in a relationship just because of their looks?

Well, in my opinion, I would prefer somebody with both good looks and personality, but I would definitely choose personality over looks in a heartbeat.

 

Yes and No.

I personally feel that looks do not matter. If someone were smart, kind and funny, I would fall for them any day.

But,

Looks DO play a huge role too. If someone were smart, kind, funny AND good looking, that would be awesome.

So my answer is Yes AND No.

For me, more no than yes.

 

I value intelligence before even making a connection with someone, relationship or not. If someone is hot yet can't show any logical or advanced problem solving skills I would never date them.

Time is also a major factor to love. You can love anybody if you devote time to them.

But I'm stranger than that. I have two friends who both are on the below average side of the IQ bell. I spend most time with them because it is fun pointing out mistakes they make. They both copy all of my work in IT, Mathematics and Science. Since I've spent more time with them I feel more comfortable with them, even though they are not the brightest pair of stars in the universe.

If you didn't notice what I said, I started off by saying I would never befriend dumb people yet I do because I've spent time with them. I mean anything can be possible in relationships involving love or respect.

 

It depends, I like girls that are pretty, both inside and out.

Yes looks matter ofc if it's a relationship but if it's just a normal friendship it wouldn't matter as much. You would want to be attracted to that person physically if it's a relationship

 

Yes, I would think looks does matter.
We may think we're not beautiful but in reality, we are. We need to be confident and admit that everyone's appearances are amazing to look at. No need to hide your face from people, we can admire them everyday. Looks don't matter, don't be shy and take a stand

Generally, they do, yes.

However, attractiveness, as far as physical appearance goes, is not mandatory. If you have a good personality, sense of humor, and can devote at least a bit of your time to me, chances are, I wouldn't care about your looks, haha.

Ok so I think of it like this, if a girl genuinely looks like a cow, she wouldn't be dated, therefore looks will always play a part in dating.
