1.7.

Dear community,
I am writing to explain the dilemma many characters are having. First of all, Mineverse was recently updated to 1.8, now I know many people are having texture pack problems, Fps drops, and just hate this update. I personally think 1.7 was better, and that Cyp and crew should keep it 1.7. And as this thread has been brought up many times, I want to share my perspective of thought. I believe that they should bring back 1.7, as this change has forced some players to quit Mineverse.

 

No, just no. KitPvP would be ruined, Factions would have to reset, again. This is just a horrible idea when it comes down to the very bottom of things.

 

No. 1.8 is fine. Not sure why people leave instead of just updating and getting optifine 1.8.

 

It should be the way it is. As @Viper said, the server will be ruined if this happened.

No support. The update has already happened, I'm sure there will be much more complications in changing it back to 1.7 then keeping it as 1.8.

 

There's already complications everyday on mineverse, the server has a horrible host.

 

Texture pack problems could be fixed by taking less than 5 minutes out of your day to edit/fix it yourself. I've never experienced any FPS drops whilst playing on 1.8, nor have none of the people I talk to. Finally, as mentioned by SSMH and Viper, it would be too much of a hassle to reset everything back to 1.7. I'm sure the only way they'd change back to 1.7 is if there is a sudden decline in players on (not 10-20s, more of 300+).

 

Any pvp servers (except maybe infection, I don't know to much about that) would be screwed, and all of the servers are pvp servers except like 1 so... No support sry

 

Is that even 1.8s problem? Or possibly their internet?

 

I personally prefer 1.7.10 just because I lag less, however, we get rid of 1.8, we lose all of the blocks/items and we lost depth strider :t
I don't think Cyp and Crew are going to change it back though.

You'd have to reset most of the server, and that will cause more problems that will never be solved.
I can play both 1.8 and 1.7 so I don't want to stress about it.

 

Rules would be changed once again in prison since in 1.8. the ocean update came with sponge rooms. Most of stuff would have to reset as others said.

People always complain about lag. Though some don't really experience any of it. Downgrading 1.8 to 1.7 would mean resetting the server (again) and disable new features which people have grown to enjoy.

Frame-drops is probably your own problem. And PvP wise it doesn't change a lot. Just move your mouse and click.

 

Do you remember how many issues Mineverse had when updating to 1.8? We don't want to go through that again. Lots of things will have to be reset and just... No. I personally think 1.8 is working fine.

 

Do you pvp a lot? If you do, you'll know the difference in pvp.

Just leave it as it is. Going backward is going to bring up so many more complications. It is just something people will have to put up with.
