Let's not turn this into who should be admin. Either way, it won't happen. Cyp said there won't be an admin.
Not really, Cyp can handle this on his own. He has his plans mapped out for MV and SB, he just hasn't acted on it nor shared it with us. We don't know what he's thinking nor do we know what he's doing.
Not that they aren't cut out for it but being an administrator is leagues away from a moderator. It's a totally different skill set they may not be familiar with. Who knows?
Being admin is too much power to give a mod. Noob and Cyp have said there won't be an admin, it's too much power for a mod to have.
As much as more admins are needed, there probably won't be more for a long time. Going from moderator to admin is a large leap in power which requires a lot of trust and knowledge in, but sadly a lot of trust has been lost from moderator abuse. Helping is what I love doing as a moderator, though being an admin would of course expand my limits of helping players. But honestly I don't think I deserve it and I'd have to learn a lot if that ever happened (which it won't).
Let's not forget the main topic, shall we? For unfortunate reasons many staff members (including KitPvP moderators) were demoted or resigned. Most moderators are handling exams, and cannot handle in-game activity. Most players haven't noticed how PopIs_MyLife has handled reports as best as he can possibly perform. Regardless of his timezone, he and other moderators have been performing at the highest efficiency possible. Don't bother applying if you're too busy handling a job, a kid (except for Pile. You are our mother), or handling other important things in your life. Us moderators do pay attention to threads that provide constructive criticism or file a complaint about our own behavior. These threads simply cannot be ignored. We sometimes poke each other about reports and ban appeals. Mineverse does need more moderators. Most people who have followed this entire thread (congrats to yourself) will probably know moderators will soon be promoted. But because most members were demoted / resigned last time, we're picking them out carefully. Please quote this message or create a conversation to ask any questions regarding my comment.
You've got to understand that moderating a server isn't their "job". Their job is to do their job in real life or get good grades SO that they can get a good job, and support their to-be family. This is what they do in their free time, and although they may not do as good of a job as some of the earlier mods, they're still doing the best they have time for. In my opinion you are one of the best mods, if not the best, despite the fact you moderate other servers. You may not be ready for admin nor would the server need one, but you work hard at this.
He doesn't HAVE to have them, people just think they are necessary, but they aren't. Cyp and Noob know what they're doing and can handle it on their own.
