Hey there turnip! Welcome to my moderator application! MiningCreeper454 here. If you haven’t heard of me, don’t panic. I'm usually on Infection, Prison and Skygrid. Little intro about me... If you'd like, you can skip this section- it isn't vital. But, if you would like to get an idea of who I am, then please read this. Also, most of this information may be written beneath, so feel free to skip this. Let's pretend we don't know each other... Hello, I'm Claire, but please call me Mining. I currently live in England, where it really isn't interesting, but it's quite enjoyable. I've always lived here, and never moved house in my entire life. I'd love to have a pet, but unfortunately they don't make aquariums big enough for cephalopods. I'm in year 9, which is probably 8th grade to you, and hope to be a marine biologist. Ambitious, I know. I would like to be moderator for many reasons, one being that I aspire to be like many people I've met on this server. (Poke, Pile, Grayson, I'm talking about you wonderful people) For my life outside of the internet, as you already know, I love squids and ocelots. You'll most commonly find me (After I've been unstuck from my laptop...) doodling aliens and trying to cook. 'Trying', the key word. How old are you? Just turned 14, on the 18th of April. Your in-game name: MiningCreeper454. (very original) I think I was feeling uninspired at that time, because the rest of my usernames are a lot more pretty and arty. What timezone are you in? GMT. I think that not enough moderators are on when I come on- 3:30-5pm, GMT. What country do you live in? England. What languages do you speak? I speak English mainly, but I’m learning French and Spanish. Sadly, I'm not all that good at Spanish, so you won't get me in to be a translator! Why do you think you should become a mod? I think I should be a moderator here on Mineverse because I am regularly active and own many qualities for being a mod. Firstly, I am honest. I also believe that there are too many hackers active on the sever. I understand that the moderators are trying their best, but almost every time I go onto Infection there are too many people to report using glide hacks, anti-knockback and kill aura. Secondly, I think rules are important and never shy away from reminding players about them. Yes, I know that people may have just joined, and I will happily tell them the rules and objectives on the game, but if someone doesn’t switch their hacks off or spams frequently, I will politely tell them, and if they don’t stop I will not hesitate in reporting them. Imagine if there was no rules on Mineverse- would you like that? It would be a complete madhouse and very unorganized. Maturity is another key factor. I am mature for my age and although I may crack a few bad jokes and have a laugh, I can make fast, mature, unbiased decisions. I can cope with situations well, such as defying the rules or prolific swearing. I understand that being a mod is no easy job, but I feel that I am ready to take the position on. I am also friendly and trustworthy, big attributes in a good moderator. I will try to be firm yet fair, and get other's views on things, as the players are the ones that must be pleased. I treat people how they wish to be treated and I wish for others to do the same. Lastly, I feel that I would like to help out. The moderators here are absolutely wonderful, but I feel that people are still disobeying the rules frequently and that on Parkour and Skywars, nobody seems to read and acknowledge the rules for the chat. There just aren't enough mods to keep an eye on every aspect of the server. Also, some of the language directed towards others is horrid. Many times I have seen racism and disrespect used towards others. I dream that one day, everyone will be happy on this server, and will abide by the rules. As impossible as it is, I will strive to make it happen. It's a vision I will pursue. How long can you be active on the server everyday? Here's a plan of when I'll be on:Monday: 4 - 9:30. Tuesday: 5 - 9:30. Wednesday: 5 - 10 Thursday: 4 -7:30 Friday: 4 - 9 Saturday/Sunday: Depends each weekend, I'll tell you each Friday. How long have you been playing Mineverse? I have been playing Mineverse for almost a year now, but I only got involved in the community about 3 months ago. No regrets. I have grown to love Mineverse's forums, as the current moderators and general members are extremely kind. Do you have any past experience as a moderator? Only on forums, as I have been one on a small forum that eventually died out. But on a server, there’s always a first time! Thank you for reading!
