Four game modes sounds reasonable, but the main idea for this suggestion is that moderators should be able to handle reports on all servers, because it'll be more efficient.
Like what many others said, promoting every mod to global would mean that duties would have to be split up between servers. Some servers could be neglected while others would benefit from reduced rule-breakers. Having a few globals wouldn't hurt but I do not support having all moderators as global.
Support. But first people should be contained to 2 servers. Then earning the privilege of being globally ;)
Last I checked Cyp and Crew ran this show not Terrick. lol The reason Cyp decided to restrict mods to 2 gamemodes was to hopefully help spread out the mods and keep them active on all game modes, not just some. While it was a fine idea, time has shown this idea has failed to provide the results Cyp and Crew were hoping for. Mods are less active than ever. There is far more than the 2 server restriction to blame for the lack on ingame moderation, but it is part of the problem. Cyp has said many things in the past and changed his mind. That is why this is a suggestion thread. Some examples: Cyp at one time had said he would not promote mods from Crews other servers here because he felt it was unfair to the community here as well as not wanting to put added stress on the current .net and .org mods. He later changed his mind and added a few. Cyp at one time said there would never be a rank above Mod on Mineverse. He later decided to add a Head Mod group and promote Scofu tho that position. Cyp also said there would never be a builder rank. That rank was also added. My point is that times change and with that the needs of the server change. Cypriot adjusts to the new needs of the server accordingly. So what may have been said at one time to be true can change to be untrue.
While Obama may run the US, it doesn't void out other peoples words about his plans. The two servers nonsense was actually meant to be one, but swapped to two simply because the mods that got asked said two would work better. The "results" aren't proven incorrect, they worked just fine, the lack of progress is in the global mods perspective, which most players can't get service on one server as opposed to another due to the lack of moderators on it. Easy fix, more mods. The only reason mods were promoted on the other servers here was simply to add balance to the servers and allow experienced mods to fix what we called "the mineverse crisis" with the issues laid out back then. The Head-Mod group was not a "promotion" but more or less just a rank to be an advisor, simple as that, no perms, nothing. You should know more than enough by now to completely void out that, Cyp didn't even give word to create it, it was crews recommendation. Builder wasn't a rank Cyp added either. Crew wanted builders, so the people who built asked for the prefix, crew said give it to them. We can go back and forth on nonsense that's public and nonsense that's private, in the end, "my words" aren't just "Terricks". People can view them however they wish, but it doesn't change what's really in the message, so continue as you please, the plugin has its issues still, and again, back to the global mod.
I never brought up perms as far as the HedMod rank went. Permissions are irrelevant to the point I am making. I also didn't bring up any plugin here. My points here were that Cyp and Crew can change their minds and often do. Nothing is set in stone and your words are not Cyp's or Crew's they are yours. Say what you like but it's Cyp & Crew's server. Your social interactions with either of them do not give your words precedence over theirs. I'm not going to continue with the back and forth here, but rather end it with my continued support of global moderators.
Support, I feel like this would help a lot. I see servers such as prison and infection have mods, but some servers, like skyblock, don't really have moderators on. This can fix that.
