MCARI HACKS ACCOUNTS!

If you see in chat "Join this server! FREE staff ranks, and free ranks! JOIN NOW! <Edited>" They will most likely say "Sorry, Idk who did that, we don't give them out. But enjoy our server!" Well, enjoy it while you have your account! My friend joined, after I advised him not to, and within 1 week, while he was in Mexico, I saw him on creative.. he had his pet there, his optifine cape, everything.. then it started spamming McAri's IP in chat! And he would never advertise, because he is a donor, and he <3 the server, and he has no access to MC while on vacation. Later I went on Skywars to see the grief, then there were atleast 4 titans spamming it. This is why you should never join servers that sound weird like saying "FREE STAFF RANKS, JOIN NOW!" It is most likely not safe. If you have joined, I advise you to change your password. A lot of people have been moaning on Twitter to Mojang that there account had been stolen, they Tweeted saying "We advise not to join weird sounding servers, we will release a warning on Mojang.com"

UPDATE: He said he is going to install a plugin called "SafeLogin" Which makes you do /register <then a password> If you join and it says to do so, do not enter your real password! They can track it in server console.

 

I didn't join their server anyways because it doesn't sound good or fun if they have to advertise it on other servers for weeks/months.

They changed my password aswell, and it was long and complicated af.

I joined and told the admins to stop advertising.. He then asked for proof of who was advertising. I gave him it and he banned the player...

 

Honestly I think the server owner is trying to hide the fact that he may be advertising the server himself to keep his reputation.

 

Well, yeah, but I doubt they're going to hack every account that joins..

I mean, I'm not changing my PW as my PW strength is strong on PW checkers.
