Look, I know there have been threads like this about "Mods". Moderators keep saying stop making these threads blah blah blah. But this is the server that the community of a round of players suggest these type of stuff. Do you know why we keep suggesting this? Because YOU'RE doing nothing about it. You might say "It's not that easy to promote mods, mods have lives blah blah blah" There are many great applicants out there for the team to promote but they just don't take their time to do it. I know this is quite bias towards moderators but I'm speaking for what I think. I personally think some moderators are amazing, in MY opinion I think some are slacking and I don't care if you disagree with me. These type of threads will stop if you DEAL WITH IT. You can't just let it slide off, you need to do something about it.
That is roughly 8 hours behind my timezone. Let's face it, majority of the mods are centered around one timezone(give or take a hour or two)
The amount of mods needs to be doubled imo. With the lack of mods we're stretched thin on trying to moderate all the gamemodes. If there's only one dedicated mod on a server you can't expect them to be on all the time. We're only human. I try my best to be active on here, but I moderate the 13+ gamemodes & 3 of Crew's popular servers which get up to about 3 times more players than one gamemode does at some points. So that's about 17 servers at once to moderate. But if I'm on Mineverse you'll probably find me on Infection or Survival if you need a moderator to get on another gamemode which I'll gladly do.
We need an OpPvP mod badly, I've been on recently with friends and every time we jump down, we see either 3-4 people trying to kill a hacker, or we go in a house and someone turns in hacks. Larry, you know I like you as a friend and I don't wanna push you into anything, but we could use you on OpPvP once in a while, even if you pop on for -5 minutes, that's long enough to get some hackers.
I know it may be hard for some people to understand, but us mods work very hard. I personally devote loads of time to this server. And I'm sorry I haven't been active for the past week. If you really want to know what's been going on, here: I've been testing like crazy. All of last week I was testing. This week, I had more. Then, Wednesday morning we get a call. I'm now in St. Louis for a funeral. I'm sorry this came up and I haven't been very active. I'm still trying my best. But the point of this isn't for you to feel bad for me. I'm telling you this so you know that we are humans. If something comes up, we can't control it. We also can't control who is promoted or when. So if you guys really want more mods, you have two options. Be patient and understanding or contact Cypriot. Either way, he will do what he feels is right when he wants. Hopefully this helped you all to better understand this situation.
We're not saying Moderators to be more active, we're saying to promote Moderators to help the community to have less rule breakers
Exactly, especially the pvp gamemodes, KitPvP could use about 2-3 more mods to span out the timeframe. OpPvP needs atleast 4 mods.
We've heard this so many times. The point of this thread was not to complain at them to stay up and cover these timezones nor was it to whine about their inactiveness, it was merely to point out that more promotions would be extremely helpful.
I really do hate these types of posts, griping about the number of Mods, their activity, or just griping about Mods in general. Cyp knows what he needs to do to run the server (he's done it this far) and when he needs to promote more Mods. He knows what he's doing guys, give him a break. Gizz I know you didn't intend for the post to seem that way, but that's how it sounds.
I think you and @kirbyo32 have missed the whole point of this thread. This isn't 'griping' mods nor is it 'griping' Cyp? It's simply creating awareness and allowing others to express their views? Why have a discussion part of the forums if we can't discuss? I've never doubted that he doesn't know what he's doing and I doubt Cyp will take 'offence' to this. It doesn't sound like you're making it out to be at all actually. Yes, I'm annoyed because regardless of the recent promotions, nothing has changed but I'm not having a go at anyone. Others can see it too. I have not once called the mods active or inactive and I'm not judging them. So let's think about this... Who are you sticking up for when there is no one to stick up for? P.S. Kirbyo, you're rating posts 'disagree' for no reason. I find it quite childish tbh.
Yes you're good on the servers you moderate, but you disrespect people on the servers you don't moderate.
