Within Minecraft at least, people mainly do it to win a pvp fight. If you are getting ready for a 1v1, and you are just about to start. You could start your booter and then start fighting the person, they lose connection while being "Tagged" and that makes them die.

Best way to avoid this, just don't give out your Skype name to anyone. Get a vpn, proxy...All that stuff. If someone threatens you, just delete that Skype account, change your ip and make a new one.

 

this isn't as severe as a DDoS, nor a DoS.
And I never said anything about leaving your country.

I'm saying if I live in a particular country, another country's laws do not apply to me.

@SanityPrevails is right btw, if he did "DoS" you and it's not illegal in his country, but is in your country, then sorry to say, but he is safe.
