I only made a forums account to apply on the Skyblock Forums and I was a new member and was promoted 22 days later. If this suggestion was added I probably may had never been promoted. Artificiality made an app as a new member and got promoted he next day. He was a fantastic mod and easily could of gotten smod if he didn't quit Everyone is allowed to make a mod app and this just excludes people out just because they are new to the forums. You could be drawing away future moderators like these. Not supporting this.
Good point, but if only the active members are able to apply, it saves many the trouble of sifting through the threads of Mod Apps that aren't even seriously thought of and also, the phrases 'be more active' and 'get active member' would not have to be used as by being an active member it shows you are willing to spend your time writing messages/receiving likes to gain the trophy points to attain the title- and that shows you're active. Thanks for sharing your view anyway.
If an app is truly bad then people can say how to improve, and their app will eventually die down if it just stays bad.
Yeah, at the moment, not many new members are 'mass-applying', so this suggestion isn't really practical for the time being. During the later part of 2014, the spam was incredible. Just wanted to keep this suggestion alive and not grave-dug.
As soon as I hit Active Member, I will support xD other than that, ImTubeless, the mod, wasn't active member during his promotion.
No support Everyone who can find out how to make an application has the right to apply. Just because a lot of new players make apps doesn't mean the truly deserving wont get selected. Having a moderator application is also a very good motivator for player to try be helpful and that never hurts. New member doesnt mean new player. So a well known member in game tried to apply but are new member on the forum... they wont make good mods? Just put up with "noob" applications because there should be no limit to who can apply.
Ah okay, thanks for stating your opinion. Like I said before, currently Mv Forums doesn't have the same 'spam' of 'noob' applications compared to December, so this suggestion isn't practical now.
Just remember, new member on forums =/= noob. In words thats: New member on forums does not mean they are noobs. In fact all forum ranks are is how much you post and get rated, its not based on quality
Yeah I know, but they aren't so called 'active' on the forums and that's the basic necessity of people supporting you, as most judge applicants based on their forum ranks as the forum rank shows how, let's say 'active' you are. Hence the term 'active member', 'new member' and so on.
