This is a small suggestion that won't need a lot of work to be put in place. Its regarding moderator applications. My suggestion is when a player gets banned on the forums that also has a moderator application up, that their application gets locked and achieved. And when they become unbanned on the forums, they can request for their moderator application to be opened again. If they so desire to do so.
Because they have been banned and their application shouldn't be shown. But mostly because it would make the Moderator section neater by getting rid the banned applicants. Because if they are perm banned or do not wish to be unbanned, their application will still stay up, with no hope of being promoted. And if there was a mistake with a ban or they get unbanned quickly, it would be easy to open the moderator application again . [Edit]I also find there should be no reason why a banned person should have a moderator application open.
Sure, I agree on the perm banned player's mod app deletion but if the infraction only bans a player for a few days what's the point? Anyway, I'm going with neutral
Usually the banned players apps will just fall away eventually. I guess its less work to keep them up then let them get no replies than archiving them then having to find that thread again.
That's true. But even so, it would be very easy to open the application again, even if their ban was a few days. Just my thought, but I don't think people who are banned should have a moderator application open. Once they are unbanned I'm fine either them re-opening it. But I will be the judge if they learned their lesson on their application.
No Support. Look at it this way, you've spent over 2 hours making your application neat, nice, and looking good and you accidentally break a forum rule and you get banned, would you like all that hard work go down the drain?
You could always just request for it to be opened again. It's not getting deleted, just archived. As for this thread, I am neutral.
