Hello, Mineverseians. I have composed a new idea that will hopefully benefit the players. I have indeed seen it used on one server and it was quite effective. Here we go. What is /Where? /Where is a command in which you can use on any game mode in order to seek out another player on mineverse. When you type /where [Player], you can see what server they are currently playing on. Why would it be beneficial? Have you ever been looking for a player but can't seem to find them? Well that problem is solved. With this command you can easily locate your friends or foes who you wish to talk to. Of course, if your in /v, this command wouldn't be able to locate you. Why would this command be bad? I can't really think about many bad things about this command besides the fact you may have a few people in stalker status. (I am totally not stalking noobcrew, Muahhhhh!!!! ) If you have any questions or concerns, let me know by commenting. I am open to all constructive criticism. Thanks for reading, Banana.
Sadly, I do not. Although, it would be relatively easy to code in my understanding. If anyone can find a similar plugin, that would be great. This is just a little side thing that may be fun, not that big of a deal.
If this is possible I would support. But I don't exactly know who I personally would /where cause I don't know too many people.
He just couldn't resist the temptation at looking at my awesome thread. Nah, just messing around. It's cool that he is and I hope he considers the idea.
This isn't a plugin, but is built into BungeeCord itself. BungeeCord is the server that essentially connects all the other servers together. /find <player> Permission node: bungeecord.command.find Confirms whether a player with the username provided is online and determines which server the player is connected to. Default group: none Typical user: Server Administrator So Noobcrew would just have to add the permission node to 'default' in the BungeeCord config
I do indeed know what bungeecord as I was using it for my server. Thanks for the insight, I really had no clue about this command. (I know... I'm goofy) Hopefully, since your the developer, you could set this up with their permission of course. It wouldn't take that long. I think it would be a cool new addition to mineverse. The stalking status has begun! Have a nice day tanner, and fite me again on survival. ;)
Oh god the problems this would cause. Where should I start? People already croud around Cyp and Crew when they are suprised that they are online, imagine giving them the power to know where he is 24/7 causing (maybe) a crash in a sever. EX: Say crew logs into OpPrison and the no-life skrubs /where Noobcrew and see, the sheer amount of people loging into OpPrison at once would cause people to time out and/or crash OpPrison causing more problems for Cyp/Crew, never the less the amount of spam they would deal with.
I still don't see a plugin for this, only thing that comes close is what craftcadia uses @Pile_of_Butts It lets you see staff online and message them no matter what game modes you two are in.
First off, servers have player limits for a reason. They have been thought out considering many factors, such as a wave like this. So up to that max player count, there won't be a problem and when it does reach it, other players will be blocked from joining. So all in all, that won't be a problem. Regarding spam for cyp/crew, they're used to it, and don't mind. If that were to become a problem, I'm sure we could remove them from the list using something custom.
