This staff member was demoted, and the account has been banned.
As of why, no one is sure of, other than Cyp himself, and Yin.

would you mind I close this thread, to prevent the fluster of false accusations / player's imaginations?

Unfortunately this happens more than I like to see. A young, active, longtime member applies for staff and gets accepted. He/she volunteers their time making mistakes along their way. Only to be banned ingame and then forums as a parting gift.
I had heard rumors that Yin abused, never saw proof of his abuse myself. Never the less I don't feel mods should be banned from the community they loved so much with exceptions to extreme cases.
Moderating is a free service to help communities. It's not easy and lord knows we all have made mistakes. So easily we cast people away for those mistakes instead of helping them learn from them.
I'm not sure what happened to Yin.
I do know he followed every member that joined these forums from the day he joined.
I always thought that was so amazing.
Thanks for your service Yin. You worked hard. I hope you know it was appreciated.

Its a bit weird to see this thread that is harmless offer closure but a whole thread of drama and petty arguments gets to stay open quite long.
But yes something between cyp and yin must have occurred and therefore ended this way. Its probably not the last time something like this will happen.
I didn't know him, but he seemed like a mod that actually cared about the server. These things happen. Im sure a lot of people are shocked or a little upset.

Yin was demoted for a reason unknown.
I have a rough idea but I don't really want to share it incase it is wrong.
As for Yin, he was a great staff member with an amazing personality, who I wish nothing but the best for.
Let's hope he will get unbanned one day, so that we can at least talk to a great former staff member.
